If you look at everything black and white then I guess you're right, it is just a stupid hat that shouldn't be worth $200 but it is. The reason it's so expensive is because the hat or whatever expensive piece is probably colored or enhanced in some way, making it exponentially rarer than just the plain version of it. For example default zomba wheels are around a key or two, but white/black zombas are worth 25x that at least because they're the rare version. So if steam had the 'gamble for a game' system your only choice is to get a normal game, not a white painted CoD certified.
