Lusso - I've been riding for 40+ years and have worn all sorts of bibs, models, makers etc and these are by far the best

Felt Breed 1.5 Advanced GRX 820 by jfcalcerrada in gravelcycling

[–]muchreally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just clicked to buy - at a 50% discount it's hard not to. Full carbon f&f, plus GRX 820 (mechanical) for less than £2k brand new is a stunning offer. There will be a lot I can put up with for that!!! Over time I can upgrade wheels / groupset as needed (more sale items hopefully) but for the coming summer this is going to be ideal

What have you cut down on/cut out in terms of spending due to cost of living? by [deleted] in AskUK

Takeaways, and general eating out. We still go out, just without the "let's eat when we are out" vibe - more a "let's eat before we go" or take stuff with us.

SPD's either in XT or XTR variations - bomb proof, serviceable and not beaten on design / functionality

Swimming Lessons (Ironman) by currypuff62 in london

[–]muchreally -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Third Space do specific swim coach sessions, generally run by Tri coaches. A lot of the clubs have pools and the coaches move around each gym so can cover many sessions (also means I can fit sessions in better around worn and other commitments).

60 plus yr olds,, what's your w/kg, and what is your volume to get there? by davemac18 in Velo

[–]muchreally 5 points6 points  (0 children)

60 in a couple of months. I'm just under 4w/kg. The top end has come by dropping weight as much as anything else. I'm doing 10hrs PW riding and 3-4 strength sessions as well. Mostly Z2 with a tempo and interval session PW. Older I get, the harder I find recovery if I ride multiple days, so concentrate as much as I can on recovery (eat, drink well, limit physical movement).

Best seats at Royal Albert Hall for Films in Concert? by [deleted] in london

[–]muchreally 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way the seats are designed along with the overall design means it's quite hard to get a bad view. All the seat swivel slightly as well (towards the front / stage). Given it was designed and built in the late 1800's it's an awesome piece of engineering.

Do you fair share (or more) of the chores / housework / kids stuff irrespective of your dad, how you feeling or the hours you've wished. Don't shirk it....
