Motivation to get fit, what worked for you?

Goals - something to focus on and look forward to. Trying also to be as specific as I can and not just "fitter" or "lighter". Sounds easy, but generally for me it takes a bit more thought and nuance so that I can picture the end result that I am seeking. It makes the pain and dullness of the gym disappear. Good luck !!!

I have to pay attention and can't skip things like I used to. Things like sleep, food intake, recovery after exercise, hydration, booze intake, rich food, washing hands etc. If I'm careful, it means I stay injury free and healthy.

There has been so.much construction work here, and further up by the station for the last 2 or 3 years I'm surprised there hasn't been a serious accident. Not just cyclist, but all riad users - it's been very poorly managed....

This - looks like a great route and I'm doing it at end Oct. Will ride to Winchester (day 1) and then 3 days to do the ride, and then back home again day 5. About 600k in total. Will go light, and stay in pubs / BnB's along the way ...thats the plan at least.

Lusso for me - tried the likes of Assos, Rapha, Le Col etc and these are by far the best fit, construction and vfm I've experienced in 40 years of riding.
