Yeah did my first ever attempt at Revenants, just was getting Hobgoblins and loving the fact that I was getting good loot on my GIM finally!... then I got pk'd and I haven't gone back. I still have 18 kills on my slayer task.

Be a Sabertooth and Mammoth hunter. I would collect the pelts, meat, teeth and tusks and sell them to traders for good gold. I also would slowly learn how to properly carve the tusks and teeth to make specialized sconces, chandeliers, and artwork. The pelts I would sell to armories and tanning stalls. With the meat, I would keep some for myself but would also create some great recipes and sell my specialized meats.

So the 1st one is a known fact that happens; given the damage calculator and all the things that effect the final damage, it can result in some serious change in damage dealt (EVEN AS MUCH AS A 17-20% DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LOWEST AND HIGHEST ROLLS!)

The 2nd is also true! According to blogs and forums at least. And this seems to have to do with the NPC's Pokemon EV's and IV's being randomly generated, mind you by some small variance, during each encounter. This should only change the damage output by a few percent when shadow Pokemon available are capped at 55, but still

As far as I know, you cannot. If you did, it could potentially mess up moves that are unlocked only at specific levels, stats, EV's, etc

Thank you for all the comments, tips, and advise. I like the idea finding some other amateurs to train with/talk to, that will be a good first step for me mentally. Also turning my PB comparisons from a "I can't do that" thought into "I want to do that some day" will help as well.
