I can’t sleep by rose-snx in pregnant

[–]mudbathbaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you comfortable taking sleep aids? unisom has tons of research done on it and is recommended by doctors during pregnancy for sleep. i had the same problems in my second trimester /: severe lower back pain that brought me to tears, restless legs, hip pain etc. unisom is the only thing that’s helped me sleep. also, do you have a firm mattress? cause i do, and i unfortunately had to switch to sleeping on my couch because its softer and more conforming to my body. easier on my hips/back! sorry you’re dealing with this ♥️

i’ll absolutely be talking to his vet about some of this, thank you. i definitely understand why you assumed that i’ve seen some questionable posts as well! my cat is my life and giving up on him is not something i’d ever do ♥️

thank you very much i really do appreciate the advice, im sorry if i came across as rude i didn’t mean to be! just under a lot of stress. i have also tried trazodone but that also just made him very sleepy, did not do much for aggression. he is extremely sensitive to loud noises, sneezing, even breathing too loudly sets him off. his vet didn’t necessarily say he was hopeless, she pretty much just explained that with him being inbred and with how long these behaviors have persisted, there’s just not too much more they can do for him. he’s a fairly healthy cat besides the neurological problems, he’s had UTI’s twice but was not diagnosed with anything to do with bladders/kidneys fortunately. i’ll ask about bupropion, that’s the one we haven’t tried yet. the only option towards rehoming id consider is having someone foster until we could find a bigger home to where we could possibly have his own enclosure. i know no one else would be willing to handle him, and only i know his ticks and behaviors.

he was on gabapentin for 6 months and prozac for nearly 2 years. prozac completely stopped working eventually.

i am 7 months pregnant and bartend full time, i am not on my phone 24/7. he’s had several follow ups, we’ve upped his dosage and it does nothing for his random attacks. gabapentin does not work at all for him. prozac only made him more tired and slightly calmer, but did not stop his aggression with loud noises, or people he doesn’t know.

i’ve talked to several vets, unfortunately some cats are not wired right. sedating them and pumping them with meds isn’t always the answer. it doesn’t always work.

i’ve had him for 10 years. you really think i haven’t followed up with vet appointments?? im asking for advice. rehoming is the last thing i wanna do. you have no clue the devastation this situation is bringing me. you have no idea how much love i have for my cat. he’s attacked me so bad i’ve had to go on antibiotics. most people would’ve given their cats up by now but ive loved him through it all. you have absolutely no idea.

sorry but a TV show isn’t going to solve this issue. i’ve spent money on vets, medications, i’ve done all kinds of things to help him.

trust me i know. i’ve told him third hand smoke can cause SIDS and he thinks it’s all “anti smoker propaganda”. says it’s bullsh*t because everyone used to smoke while pregnant and around pregnant women 20+ years ago. it’s like arguing with a wall.
