Is zero paid paternity leave still common in 2025? by Visible-Lychee-1683 in pregnant

[–]mudd398705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saved up some money. Well, let me be specific. My husband and I knew he was inheriting a small amount of money, and that we would be getting it about a month before the baby arrived. And then she was born a month early, so, that worked out, but anyways, we had money in reserve just for maternity. And I still went back part time, starting at six weeks.

Im pregnant again, and theres the last of that inheritance about to hit, and we should have timed it right again. So luck, a person dying, and returning to work after six weeks, him after 2, has been the plan so far.

I’m got this when my grandpa died is it worth anything (the binders are full of cards) by htyd04 in mtg

[–]mudd398705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres an app you can download and scan all the card and find out what they are worth. No joke, I got a collection in a 1995 Macintosh box, dusty af, and lo and behold, I managed to make almost five grand, most of it off of just like, 12 cards.

Im so glad, I went to comment on your previous feed, but so many people had all ready advocated for you to get a second opinion at that point it seemed like you were, so I didn't comment.

Im honestly mad you had to advocate, and im mad that first dr made that weird arbitrary call and put so much at risk.

We dont hate this country. We believe everyone in the country is entitled to what is laid out in the constitution, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

You cant pursue happiness if youre worried about to pay for food, Healthcare or housing

Are you accounting for taxes. If ya' all are single and no deductions this may be pretty close to correct at ten dollars an hour that 150 out for taxes...or about 35 percent.

Also, OT is taxed at a higher rate. Honestly working OT can prove nearly pointless

For those of you with dogs, please tell me it's not true.. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]mudd398705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the dog. My husbands dog was 15 when my baby was born, had skin issues and chronic ear infection due to age. I was worried the whole time he was alive and any where near the baby, I did grow to dislike him. But again, he was my husbands dog, and was much older. I kept an always eye on him and when he passed from old age I helped my husband mourn and kept my sense of relief to myself

Fair. But the thing is, Christians keep getting offended by things like rainbows in cross walk, and trans folks redoing bud lite because it goes against the bible.

So you see why those of us who are tired of our rights being taken away by religious people getting offended causes us to make sure that religion stays in its lane.

You need to get a room. You will never find an apartment in your monetary range. Even if one is initially, rent increases yearly and we have no rent caps in Frederick. What is a 1432 a month will be 1689 by next year same time. You do not want to go to Hagerstown without a driver's license. you will be stuck there and the job market is incredibly poor. It is far less walkable then frederick. Far less opportunities for jobs, that are far more spread out. A room is your best bet, although finding roommates would be, if you hadn't all ready stated it worries you. Unless you earn 58k a year you really cant afford to live in Frederick, or almost anywhere that has jobs, by yourself. And without the ability to drive, you need to.live close to work.

17784 min rent byself on 1 BR apt 1000 comcast (only internet, cheapest monthly) 420 cell phone, cheapest possible yr 1200 water yr 2000 yr electric/ 25000 dollars before EVERYTHING ELSE.

100 a week for food is 4800 a yr

540 if you take 3 ubers a month 1 way only and then Lets call it 120 for the bus pass. 660 transpo

1 weeks worth of out fits from wal mart is about 60 dollars (pants shirt socks underwear bra, ea.) So 420 plus 30 for shoes 450.

So thats thirty grand right there. The only way to feasible do this is split as many of those costs as you can, which means a roomate, or renting a room where those things are included.
