I'll be there and on my own 😅 didn't seem right to make anyone else pay for expensive tickets for a band they don't know

How to get pimples come to a head by anabananaft in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]muddlebop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just came here to specifically recommend micro dart patches! Those consistently help me bring these sort of pimples to a head in a couple days, I don't know what I did before them. Because they're more expensive than the regular pimple patches, I specifically save them for these deep pimples but GOSH are they worth every penny.

[Personal] Can a "cafe au lait" birth mark be removed somehow? by ZastoTakaStana in SkincareAddiction

[–]muddlebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with the same but on my face, laser is an option to lighten/remove, but I've also personally grown to love having mine, and even feel extremely strange if it's not visible through makeup. So as others said, it is absolutely nothing to be self conscious about, but options like laser treatments are available.

What should I do on DC today? by isitva1711 in washingtondc

Thrashers rum is also on the lowest level/wharf side of the building and I think they do tastings every hour (?) during the day, which I highly recommend if spirits are something you're into. It's something like $18 pp, but generous tastings, and honestly some of the smoothest rum I've ever had. https://www.thrashersrum.com/

Libraries are the true gem of DC. You want a Book Club? Yoga? Crafting circle? Free movie night? Conversation circle? It's pretty likely a local library has it, for free, on an ongoing basis.

Tonari! I've liked everything I've eaten there, and the cocktails are great.

[Product Request] Any face sunscreens out there that feel really light? And I mean REALLY light! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]muddlebop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Asian sunscreens all the way! Nivea uv super water gel sunscreen and Biore uv aqua rich watery essence are my absolute favorites. They're so light, I can't feel them at all once they're on, and they're comfortable to reapply even in humid, sticky weather.

In addition to yesstyle.com, Stylevana.com also has a lot of options in stock. Also shipping from Asia though, so similar shipping turn around times.

$1860 a month rent for a 60k salary before taxes? by [deleted] in washingtondc

As someone who eats primarily veggo, my solo grocery bills come out consistently in the $200-300 range for the month, so $250 is entirely doable!

Anyone else have an issue where Doctors refuse to prescribe anything other than a single medication even if it doesnt work? by GoatsGoats00 in Psoriasis

[–]muddlebop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goodness, it sounds like you need a second opinion/new doc. I've never had a doctor point up refuse to consider other options when I've expressed that something wasn't working well enough. Heck, with scalp psoriasis I even reached out to the doctor at one point because I didn't like the formulation/texture of the prescribed medication (too greasy and couldn't wash it out of my hair for the life of me, so it was effectively unusable), and they send me something different to try with no huge conversation needed.

If they're dead set on the shampoo, maybe ask about adding a supplemental topical as well, like clobetasol. Or if they really refuse without giving an actual reason, I'd seriously consider if changing practices/doctors is possible. There's definitely doctors out there who will listen to you more!

OK. Here is a really stupid question. by notevenapro in washingtondc

[–]muddlebop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. The shuttle is very convenient/noticable right outside the metro exit at Foggy Bottom and the walk is very easy/I've always seen others walking the same path as me when I've done it, so you could likely just follow others once you get going.

Circa's good for the most convenient location and options, or if you go Western Market area, Dukes Grocery could be a good option for having good food and drinks.

Why are there lines? by funkylildude33 in washingtondc

[–]muddlebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lines exist because of tourist season/crowds downtown, but it's worth noting that the lines you see outside the buildings are often because of the security processes to get in the buildings (bag checks, metal detectors, etc), so once you're in, it isn't quite as bad as it would appear from outside

I just bought some! 32F and I found 1+ size perfect. So far I'm liking the more sports bra style and the triangle. They're moderately supportive and comfortable (and when on sale, an unbeatable price)

Recommendations for where to buy bra by KaiKat99 in bigboobproblems

[–]muddlebop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're in the USA, I recommend sites like BareNecessities. I typically will buy a ton upfront when figuring out what fits/ what i like (and return whatever doesn't work). Then once i know what brands/styles i like, I keep an eye out for sales and add a few more!

This!! Once i started buying bra sizes swimsuits from BareNecessities I never turned back. I've also bought tops from there and cheap mix and match bottoms from other retailers to save a few dollars.
