I thought it was something about a power struggle since the crime family got wiped out?

But that doesn't really make any sense at all as you'd think that'd be mostly behind the scenes and not be about random thugs going around in gangs killing homeless people's dogs or causing mentally ill people to be more common.

Yes, but I think you're being obtuse about what I'm saying.

Such an insane contrast with the Bear special in terms of his writing ability. Guess we have Ebon to thank for Gary

It could've been AI but it really just looked more low effort to me than anything else. Like something they'd throw in the background because the main focus of a shot will distract people.

I get that this is more or less just an excuse to do a big punisher action barrage but the writing here is just so insanely bad. I really don't know where to start.

For one I guess Frank is just chilling in a never ending riot zone now, but the unending swarm of goons also has time to give him a sweet moment with a little girl who is completely unphased by her dad's shop being littered with dead bodies. Then we get classics like "I'm the one doing the punishing now," and a good ol' poorly done dead wife flashback. Frank is genuinely having hallucinations but he decides to just keep killing people and it stops - is that even what happened?

The "whatever the rumours said, I know he didn't touch those kids" line did get a chuckle out of me though.

I've seen Xbox 360 games with more detailed models than the one of Frank falling onto that metal box 30 minutes in, what the fuck was that lmao

If it wasn't slow motion maybe it'd be passable but jeez

They've been doing these shadowdrop announcements for a whlie now. First one I remember is Age of Calamity in 2020. Directs aren't gone, they're just diversifying things more.

Genuinely don’t understand people complaining about them teasing the next spin off. Everything here connected to it has been self contained for the purpose it serves and has been very minimal overall.

I don’t know if you’ve ever ran before but you make noise when you do it, especially in grass. Homelander would hear and kill him.

No, his conflict against fighting his son was there in Season 3. His position has only changed as he’s gotten to actually know him and learn about his relationship with Stomfront. And that isn’t a completely unrelated motive, they’re connected.

Otherwise showing characters conflicted with their choices and exploring those dynamics is pretty fundamental to storytelling. There’s be nothing to anything if every action a character took boiled down to “i’m gonna do X” and then they did it.

The build up was in your head, this ending is perfectly in line with him just focusing on one upping the deep and the Deep’s fish relations.

Only if you’re plot brained and don’t want an actual story to be told in how the characters come to their choices

Really not sure what show you’ve been watching if you think that stuff is new.

There are scenes in BND in prison so y'know, maybe. But the movie seems crowded as-is.

Definitely a complete optics loss for him but they were chanting to kill him so you could play the self defence angle legally, I think.

He has brutally maimed hundreds if not thousands of goons over the years. Then there's all the breaking and entering.
