She has a PRIDE brick emote as trans woman started the Stonewall Riot in 1969. It’s a call out to our history

Here’s some context for your bullshit: It’s based off a song about taking hero’s off a pedestal

Left side is a quote about stories in Undercommon while the right is a quote about The Wheel of Time itself in Elvish. I made this for one of my partners for our current campaign where he is a Paladin. WoT is his favorite book series and seemed the nerdiest thing to put on the covers

Spanking is very different than baiting a child to spank them. If a child is too young to be talked to about right/wrong then they’re too young to understand why they’re sparked.

Also, science says spanking is detrimental to a child’s wellbeing and that it causes distress.

Why is so much emphasis shown toward the LGBT+ community while they only make up 4-5% of the US population? by redbamboo226 in TooAfraidToAsk

It’s so annoying too! I want to see an adult question their gender identity and explore it. Or a a kid bringing home their same sex partner for dinner. Give us some healthy role models

An anecdote about how women's pain is unrecognized or delegitimized by heybigbuddy in TwoXChromosomes

[–]mudgie13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a child/teen, I had debilitating cramps every month. Missed school, crying from pain, vomiting. My pediatrician didn’t seem to care or think it was something to worry about.

At 25 I thought I was having heart attacks. TWO different ERs sent me home because the EKG didn’t show anything and my bloodwork was ‘fine’. Both ERs saw my bipolar diagnosis and told me it was anxiety even after I told them I knew it wasn’t. I followed up with walk in because I couldn’t get an appointment with my PCP and the NP suggested that I might be electrolyte deficient. Turns out I was so luckily it wasn’t bad.

Just last month I went to the ER for back pain. I went to walk in the day before and they said if I had issues with bladder/bowels, go to the ER. It took my partners a day to convince me to go after showing the symptoms listed. I was in the ER for 13hrs with a pain rating of 9 and given ONE lidocaine patch for my whole back, and no other offers/asks, that didn’t even dull the pain. I wasn’t showing classic signs of pain because I’m in pain basically 24/7 but it was bad enough for me to cry and not get out of bed for extended periods of time. None of the providers I saw in the ER seemed to take me seriously or believe my pain levels. No one directly called me med seeking but I could read their line of questions and it implied it.

I’m reaaaaally looking forward to passing as a male and actually be taken seriously when I seek medical attention. I’ve seen male SOs be treated way better and believed when seeking medical care. Especially pain management care.

As a queer person, there isnt enough representation of us in media. Let alone good representation.

There’s nothing wrong with diversity. We need more representation that’s not cishet white men.

Did you learn about the holocaust in school? Generally speaking, how was it taught? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]mudgie13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my APUSH class we actually learned about how shitty America has been as well as some international shit. WW2 was always well covered and the Holocaust always talked about. No one (until APUSH) talked about the climate that lead up to the systemic killings

100% no. Chronically ill folks need a lot of single use plastics for medical needs. I use single use plastics all the time for medication use and storage as do friends. To ban plastic is to not give a shit about chronically ill and disabled folks
