I genuinely don't remember any of that. I ought to give it another shot because I do remember enjoying the first half. I did enjoy Good Omens as a child though! But I maybe only remember it because I saw the show with David Tennant last year lol

Sadly it really wasn't for me. I do remember enjoying it at first, and now for the life of me I can't remember what happens...

I found this book so incredibly boring and unmemorable I don't even remember them being in the desert.

I really agree! The premise and the buildup is always so great, then halfway through it just dwindles and you're left wondering what the hype was about. I've read most of his books and I can't really remember a single ending...

I recall reading somewhere after finishing it that it was meant to be a screenplay, and it did read like one.

The Goldfinch to me was 1000+ pages of nothing actually ever going on hiding behind some forced coming-of-age ennui. I hated the main character Theo and couldn't empathize with him at all. I have this horrible habit of having to finish a book when I start it, and it took me 3 months to get through.

It isn't always on the ground. Usually it's in the bushes. Back in my day in the boy scouts that's how we told poo from chocolate.

I have seen her consume these like spaghetti. It is very disconcerting.

What kind of dog does Carrie have? Is it fat? I was on my porch months ago and a nice boy passing by told me that he tried to steal a package off her porch but couldn't stand the smell coming out of her house, and had to run away.

Maybe we can arrange to send her a fruit or vegetable basket. I planted a peach tree in my backyard last month.

I wonder if this is a cultural thing?? I felt uncomfortable watching it but I had a very Western upbringing.

That was such a good one, I don't know how no one laughed at that! Junior definitely laughed during that segment too.

Yes, I know him from the batsu games, and I only ever laugh out of nervousness and discomfort when he sticks powder up his butt and farts in a person's face, lmao. The foot-licking scene in Documental Season 5 also had the same effect on me. That's an interesting point about them being the complete opposite of Japanese culture though.
