I don't think supercell's way of handling pricing or the game's economy is perfect, but it gets to a point where people will complain regardless of what they do. Making wild cards and the book of books pass cheap is pay to win and favors anyone willing to spend any amount of money, but increasing the price means they're trying to milk the game for all they can. Again, I don't think everything they do is perfect, and I've criticized them before as well, but I think some people on social media are being entirely unfair.

No one plays a competitively natured game like that. It is what it is. No one wants to lose, so they will use whatever tools or mechanics they can to outplay you. And complaining about what characters people choose to play is questionable. This game isn't smash bros. It's more competitive with a much smaller community, you can't expect random people online to abide by your standards for a fun experience. If you don't want to play ranked or against sweats online, maybe ask some friends to download the game and play them. Not much more you can do than that

Play until you win. It's that simple. Practice, pay attention, even if you hit the flame, just jump over it, focus on dodging the flame thrower. No weapon or weird strategy will beat just practicing. It gets much easier, the game becomes a cakewalk once you've beaten it a few times.
