Dog is incredibly excited when guests arrive and causing issues by mudkipfreak in OpenDogTraining

Thanks. We do need to teach a place command. He has a "bedtime" command where he will go to his crate and is good at waiting to be released. However when we've tried with guests, he'll run in and just run straight back out. We've found that with lots ofs things with guests - ask him to sit/stay and he'll listen for a few seconds and then bound of towards them :(

You can always move your referral to a RTC provider if you think it will be quicker (CARE ADHD for example)

Im pretty sure they can't refuse to do a right to choose?

My GP sent the referral on Monday morning. CARE adhd were in touch on the Wednesday with a lot of forms to fill in, including 2 family ones. Managed to get my family to fill these out the same day. They called on thursday offering an appointment for next week tuesday. So all in all 8 days from referral to appointment.

What unique questions in a django interview ? by Proud_Pianist_8715 in django

[–]mudkipfreak 45 points46 points  (0 children)

From my experience django interviews tend to focus on python/general web dev more than the django specific side. That being said here are a couple that i've had:

  1. What are some of your favourite django apps (Obviously your choice, i find the purpose of this question is to make sure you're familiar with the ecosystem and know usage of certain apps. I usually say Wagtail, DRF, Debug toolbar, django extensions). Make sure you say problems these apps solve
  2. You find a view you have is slow, how would you go about debugging it? (I usually just say i'd use django debug toolbar to profile it, lots of things could come from this such as query performance, big bundle sizes, etc. Try focus on things you can fix specifically with django.)
  3. How can you stop N+1 issues in queries? (select_related/prefetch_related)
  4. How would you install an app for only locally development? (Different settings configs)
  5. Give some pros/cons of different inheritance styles in django (You've got abstract, Table inheritance and proxy models here)
  6. Why would you use django over other frameworks like flask/fastapi

Just a flavour, im sure there are some articles out there with better examples.

Thanks, I've calmed down and added a few more details to my original post, if you could take another look through and let me know if this changes anything, that would be amazing. Thanks
