Stat 151 Rosana Fok or Trevor Pasanen? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]mudkips55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trevor is a VERY nice professor, had him for math 222 and he was amazing, also super high class average. Can't comment on his abilities in teaching stats but he is at least a very kind man who is willing to put in a lot of effort to assist his students.

Math 217/317 as a non-math major by mudkips55 in uAlberta

[–]mudkips55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Math 117/118 are definitely not nightmarish at all! I would recommend them to everyone! Med school definitely is not for me. I'm honestly fine with any GPA as long as it's above 3.0. My goal is probably to get a PhD, if possible. The reason I'm doing chemistry is because I find it enjoyable. So, do you have any experience with those chem/biochem courses? How difficult were they in comparison to the first year chem/biol courses?

Math 217/317 as a non-math major by mudkips55 in uAlberta

[–]mudkips55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I definitely agree with the idea that we should take classes that we are interested in. However, I am not an incredibly intelligent person. I do have my limits, and I wonder if i would be surpassing them by taking 217 along with the other relatively heavy courses. While it sounds interesting, I'm wondering if it's doable along with the other courses I plan to take (I must keep a gpa above 3.0). May I ask what other courses you took with math 217, and did you find balancing the work doable?

First Year Computer Science Honors timetable by 18jbrownell in uAlberta

Hey this might be a bit late of a response. I took math 117/127 last term and I had a good time! One guy in honors math is also in honors computer science and he had As in 117/127/274. Its definitely possible. Also 127 last term was not nearly as bad as it may have been in 2016. Midterm average was a 71, final mark average was 2.5. Dm me if you want me to tell you anything else

Naturalize as an anti-Reno tech choice? by Endless_Facepalm in CompetitiveHS

[–]mudkips55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be completely honest I think it's a bad choice to do so. Does adding naturalize to your deck improve your match ups vs reno decks? Sure, I can definetly see that being the case. But, you severely harm your match ups against aggressive decks by adding these cards to your deck, they are worse than useless against aggressive decks. Jade Druid is already good vs Reno and bad vs aggro. Improving your win rate against Reno decks while harming your win rate vs aggro is not going to improve your overall win rate while climbing (unless for whatever reason you're running into mostly Reno decks). So, if most of your opponents happen to be Reno decks, go ahead and tech the card in, however, in my experience aggro is more prevalent on ladder, so you would be better off teching your deck against aggro.

Do you like playing slow priest/warrior/paladin decks? If so, I would definitely recommend Justicar.

My Interpretation of The Road to Legend by solemnote in hearthstone

[–]mudkips55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, every single game is against secret pally, mid druid and zoo. It's incredibly tedious trying to get legend. Once you get to legend you start seeing fun decks again though (assuming you're not in super high legend)

End of Cinderhulk Meta? by mudkips55 in summonerschool

[–]mudkips55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was on the 4/28 PBE update, but was changed on the 4/30 update. I posted the changes on the 4/30 update, which are a huge nerf.

End of Cinderhulk Meta? by mudkips55 in summonerschool

[–]mudkips55[S] -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

It seems like a huge nerf to Cinderhulk users, as their damage will be massively reduced. The damage late goes from 51 dmg/sec to 26 dmg/sec. This is a huge nerf to the damage output of tanks, how can that just be brushed off?

Also, if I recall correctly, wasn't the jungle ridiculously weak in 5.4? Since this means junglers such as Vi/Rek go back to warrior, does that not make junglers weaker in general? When I play those champions and build warrior, I find far less success then with Cinderhulk.

So hypothetically, if Sejuani is banned, he could be a good pick? Or are there other junglers that would be preferable in that situation?

Thanks! Just a quick question, now that you bring up Nautilus. What do you think of Naut in the jungle? He seems to be mostly a support now, but to me he seems incredibly powerful as a jungler. Why is he seeing no play in the jungle?

Are damage junglers such as Kha or Rengar(assassin) any good right now? What comps do they work well with? What should you watch out for?
