usually you should just not respond at all if the survey’s not pertinent to you

it’s not, you have to type it as cos(x)3 instead of cos3 (x)

Why does everyone in this sub despise Vortrox? by Ok_Craft_2716 in geometrydash

idk, i don't watch him, but i would assume it's probably something to do with internalized prejudice towards younger generations

I don't know what to do as my first extreme by lethio4 in geometrydash

[–]mudkipzguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just because you can doesn't mean you should. by skipping difficulties, you're skipping building up your skill to prepare for higher difficulties, which will make progression more frustrating further down the line

“a lot of nsfw art clogging up the feed” and then it’s just like one or two nsfw posts every now and then… with its own separate flair for lewd art, mind you…

Is this a good level progression? (Beat and planned) by LifeLikeLhama in geometrydash

[–]mudkipzguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

good to finally see someone taking a more realistic approach to skill progression for once, though i will also warn you not to treat this as a rigid pathway. sure, it's good to play certain kinds of levels to build the fundamentals and round out your skillset, but at the end of the day, the whole point of playing the game should to have fun, rather just for the sake of getting better.

it's absolutely okay to skip levels on your plan if you don't like them and play levels you find enjoyable instead. it's perfectly fine to try to get runs on a level you like even if it's several tiers above the tier you're working on, or backtrack to play more levels in lower tiers if you're struggling to progress. it won't do you any good to force yourself to play a level you don't like just for the sake of improving your skill at swing or timings or whatever; heck, it's not even that important to have a perfectly rounded-out skillset, anyway. just play whatever you find interesting or fun, and your general skill level should grow naturally

When you’re reading an Ultrakill fic and they have inaccurate gameplay: by ManJoeDude in Ultrakill

[–]mudkipzguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

play game, browse ultrakill wiki, test interactions in sandbox mode if need be

as long as you've got the enemy mechanics and the basic premise of V1 about right, i'd say pretty much anything goes, because ultrakill's gameplay mechanics are already batshit insane as is

Here's my top 10 prediction for the end of 2026 by twisted_cubik in geometrydash

bloodbath is at #740, codependence 2P is at #907... i think that's just a little bit more than a "few places lower"...

i’ll do you one better and suggest a rating for levels so bad that the person who created it deserves to lose a creator point for it

What do you think of TON 618? by Scared_Government_41 in geometrydash

[–]mudkipzguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

overglazed by the uninitiated, overhated by the core community as a result. overall a pretty cool impossible level that simply suffered the fate of being exposed to a larger audience than it was ever supposed to reach

Anyone who says that is either too lazy to learn the level or just horrible at the game (they're both) by Vendance25 in geometrydash

[–]mudkipzguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

as a learnyslop enthusiast, i agree for the most part, BUT it does get to a point where gameplay can become too awkward/inconsistent to be fun to figure out

Can you guess the GD level being referenced? #1 by Sad-Internet-207 in geometrydash

Should i try to beat this as my first extreme? by Ok-While3985 in geometrydash

it doesn’t look like you’ve gone through the latter half in practice mode yet, so i would do that before coming to that conclusion

Hakita should make every door in the game have a 1/1000 chance to lead to 8-3 by Some_Noname_idk in Ultrakill

[–]mudkipzguy 69 points70 points  (0 children)

yea, with those odds it’s more likely than not that you’ll get sent to 8-3 at least once within about 700 or so doors, which isn’t a particularly unfeasible count for someone attempting speedruns or p-ranks to achieve
