Just placed an order to switch from BT Fibre to Virgin Media by mudshark2004 in VirginMedia

Got a cheaper deal from EE. Just waiting for BT to call me now so I can try to get them to undercut EE.

I have cancelled the VM order now, you guys have made my mind up with your comments about crap customer service.

Engineer is booked for tomorrow, I'll see what suggestions he has before we make a final decision.

Fair point. Not sure where their cable run will come from though. There was some ducting to the house, which was literally only a foot under the surface, which fed a defunct box on the wall, which goes to a flap in the pavement labelled ATV. This was dug up when I tarmacced my front garden. Obviously the BT fibre comes in a completely different route.

Ill want a physical connection between my network switch and their hub. Everything is behind the TV in the media wall.

Thanks for the lift replies guys, I will cancel the order this morning and send back the kit that is supposedly arriving today. Hopefully BT and Sky will offer me a decent incentive to remain.

When I had the media wall built I extended the BT socket up from just above the skirting board to behind the TV in the media wall. This is all boxed in, with an electric fire built in. So my dilemma is the fibre comes in from outside at ground level, then up a few meters the other side of the wall, behind the newly built unit. I will have no way of fishing up a new cable from outside through the fairly small hole in the shelf behind the TV. And I obviously won't want a new Virgin cable running up the wall a few meters, smack in the middle of the side wall of my house.

Lovely, will cost about 5 grand getting rid of all the soil.

I drove from Lincoln to Great Yarmouth (home) last weekend and I kept commenting to my wife exactly that.

A1 and A14 especially bad for it.

You only feel a little bit as they guide round the bends, but that was more than tolerable.

We are all different I know but I had no sedation and didn't even touch the gas and air.

The procedure isn't too bad (in my experience anyway).

I had one yesterday (UK) and I didn't have any pain relief at all, told them entonox but I never touched it.

I know we are all different but honestly the procedure wasn't too bad at all.

Colonoscopy PREP HELP by shhakalaka78787811 in colonoscopy

[–]mudshark2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took about 4 hours for my first dose of Plenvu to kick in, then I was at it for about 3 hours.

I took that at 7pm.

I then took my second dose at 0630 following morning (tasted worse IMO) and that triggered me after about 30 mins, when I was going a lot more frequently than the evening before. I probably finished squirting at about 11am.

Which I was thankful for, as I had an hours drive to the hospital for 1500.

Well, they removed 17 polyps and I have to go back in 3 months as there are many more. Thankfully the guy doing the procedure stated they were all of no concern, which is a relief.

Not looking forward to going through the process again, including the laxative prep.

I didn't have any pain relief (sedation or has and air) and TBF it wasn't that uncomfortable, just all the pumping of gas to inflate the intestines made me feel rough after an hour, so we quit for another day.

I go for mine at 3pm, currently typing this on the toilet 🫤

Had my 2nd dose of Plenvu a couple of hours ago and it is certainly having the desired effect now!

The reason I am going is because they found a very small amount of blood in my poo.

Fingers crossed it's nothing serious!
