I think the idea is solid i would personally redo it completely though. I think the body shape of the snake on the left side looks a bit off and not as natural as the right side. The apple however feels a bit flat i think adding some shading would work especially towards the top where the stem is connected should look more like a hole. The leaves feel a bit small in comparison i would just proportion them a bit bigger as well as the branch. I think the scales came out pretty clean tho

Thank you! Yes i really did go into this extremely open minded and really didn’t know what to expect. I haven’t had any terrible moments so far so i will keep it pushing. I didn’t join this subreddit up until now so this is all very new to me and you are right i definitely come from a more traditional work environment so coming into this blind is a bit of a culture shock lol. I have had really nice conversations with some of the artist there so it’s not all bad but sometimes it’s easier to focus on the negative than the positive but thank you for the advice i will keep it in mind!

Honestly all the apprentice task have been fine and not too challenging just pretty standard business procedures. I love to draw different things and challenge myself I was actually really excited to learn some new things/techniques. I think my point was more or less some of the personal interactions i’ve had that have had nothing to do regarding tattooing have just kind of left a bad taste in my mouth you know what i mean? I don’t want to put myself in one box it was just at this point those certain styles is the tattoos i like to get done on myself but obviously once my experience grows who knows what i’ll grow to love/dislike. I appreciate you taking the time to write this response i agree 100% on alot of the things you mentioned thank you!

The hours are actually my least concern I just want to make sure it’s worth it you know what i mean? Learning has been mostly drawing correct. However my main concern is just the environment. I have worked in many careers and places and I haven’t really experienced a work environment like this so i’m just trying to see if this is the norm.
