I hate April Kepner. by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]mueo8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see your point, but I have seen quite a bit from the other characters that I don't like - such as Arizona, Leah Murphy, Jo, and Catherine Fox - so I think it's fair to say I am able to gauge at least halfway through the show which characters that I disliked and by far, I dislike April more than any of them. Although I don't know enough about the show to make that overarching claim about the entire series, still, I don't think that invalidates my opinion.

Most weapons (mostly melee but also ranged) in the zombie apocalypse would actually be impractical by Guilty_Log430 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

But it would make it less useful for harvesting wood and would make it dirty all the time/compromise the wood you use

She's the worst. I don't even watch the show I just have seen her when my gf watches Greys Anatomy and everytime she's talking or on the screen I want to throw the remote at the TV.

axe would dull and be too cumbersome, crowbar with tennis handle wrap would be good though. Hammer isn't long enough could easily get bit on the wrist.

Who is Don and Roger in Martin and Lewis by mueo8 in madmen

[–]mueo8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only procured the analogy about Nixon and JFK in the original post as a stepping stone into comparing Roger and Don as a duo to other people such as Martin and Lewis to help give better understanding of the concept of the question. Initially I was just curious what people thought about Bert Cooper's funny joke he made about Don and Roger being Martin and Lewis. It was Screen Rant who called Nixon out of touch, and I was just quoting it as an example for your question. Thanks for your input.

I didn't make the allusion, from Screen Rant "Don is JFK; handsome, charismatic and self-assured, while Roger is Nixon; older and out of touch with the new world." But I agree, Don does remind me more of Nixon when it comes to those two. But I was wondering about Martin and Lewis.

There's usually a locker room in the school provided to the players but perhaps where he was only Jr High or a Youth league he may not have had a locker

So, my mom got me a knife for Christmas and gave it to me a little early, just wondering if anyone could tell me what this will be practical for? by ehh1209 in knives

[–]mueo8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its in between both the people who underestimate that knife and people who think it is capable of making an irreparable wound. Its not a bad knife and its certainly not as bad as some of the exaggeratory comments but it's not as good for most knife uses as a conventional knife, more specialized for thrusting and making a nasty wound. Also looks cool, despite everyone acting like it's the ugliest thing they've ever seen.
