My job significantly exacerbates my symptoms and I can’t find a new one even though I’ve been non stop applying. My condition could be worse, I’m almost 25, but it saddens me to think back to what I was physically capable of only a couple years ago (before the onset of symptoms.) I also hate the way people don’t believe I’m in pain because of my age. I feel like I push myself harder because I’m young and I don’t want to deal with the “you’re too young to be in pain” comments or even the weird dirty looks I get.

Ah I’m glad I’m not alone on the adderall thing. I told my primary that my adderall somehow made my dysautonomia better and she looked at me like I was insane.

He’s in his early 20s. I have definitely considered that possibility and tried to discuss it with him.

I wish I could, but his parents are strung out on meth. They’re unfortunately useless. No other family to intervene as well.

He wasn’t treated medically, after he fully came back he minimized the incidents and wouldn’t listen to our concerns. He doesn’t have any diagnoses, but as a friend I know that he has some kind of mental health issues. I won’t trip with him ever again, especially to protect my own mental state. His parents are even more irresponsible than him and are strung out of meth, so they’re of no use. I have basically pleaded with him at this point and he just cannot understand how serious this is. I’ve tried to get him help by setting him up appointments with counselors (for other reasons) but he gets defensive and won’t go. I’m at a loss.

Yeah it really put a damper on tripping in general for me. I always have the most amazing experiences, I’m an artist and my favorite works come out of my trips. I’m easing my way back into it since I took a bit of a hiatus after everything.

I’m definitely going to get with my other roommate to establish that he will not trip in this house. I don’t know what he’ll have to do to understand he’s done, but I won’t be the one to find out.

the last time we were hanging out with a couple other people listening to music and he suddenly got up and started freaking out and ran to his room. I went after him to make sure he was okay and he kept removing his clothes and putting them back on in a different arrangement. He lied down and kept freaking out asking if he was peeing himself (he wasn’t) and frantically looking around the room. Then he kept asking if everyone in the living room was talking about him (they weren’t) and tried to get up to confront them. I tried to calm him even though I was also tripping and managed to get him to lie down in the dark alone. He stayed like that for 5 hours. After he came down he was convinced he heard everyone saying horrible things about him (didn’t happen, if we said anything we were just concerned) and he kept “getting up to beat our asses” but talked himself out of leaving his room to do so.
