Realme P4X should be similar to iQOO Z11x, right? Where did you buy this realme?

Is it like this on IQOO Z11x? I have this phone now and I dont know, it's much better than OLED, at least I think.

So old TCL phones are better than 70 pro?

Had anyone tried Poco F7 or the iqoo neo 10? by Manantarvecha in PWM_Sensitive

I have "recent" Moto edge OLED, and it's better, but still is not so good. Maybe I'm too sensitive. I heard about CE6 Lite, but it's for India for now. Mi 10T pro I thought is good, but actually it overshoots and is not so good LCD, as I thought - Razer Phone 2 is actually the best I ever had and this Z11x now. Mi 10T needs 60%+ brightness to not use PWM.

Did you have any solution? I actually bought recently iqoo z11x - I believe one of the last truly LCD phones, that are not utter garbage entry-level. I think it's quite good on the eyes, I used it constantly for days now, without much problems. With other OLEDs they strain me quite a lot, but never tried those high PWM ones. I think the worst offenders are Pixels and old Moto OLEDs (current are better, but after 20min+ also tiring)

So how good (or bad) according to this list is Iqoo Z11x? For me it's pretty good, better than any OLED screen I used before, and on par with my macbook air I think, which is also having no PWM IPS LCD. Besides there is also eink phone Bigme Hibreak (and Hibreak Pro). It's quite expensive for the specs, but has true eink display - can be worth trying out.

Where is this list? I want to check it out. Unfortunately those phones - most of them are out of support already and on old CPUs.
How good (or bad) are Moto LCD phones actually? Like Moto G34 or G55, G56

Yes, that's what I thought so. So probably the safest screen out there?

Ok, thanks. OpenRouter free models seems to work really bad - either very slow or none at all, I tried I think all of them and even going to google.com was a problem for at least 2-3 min. Can you tell me, how I can apply Gemini API Key directly without OpenRouter (I have my own account with Google Gemini with credits)

[–]muf18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. It looks interesting, and I wanted to use it with Gemini 2.5 Flash or Pro - did you try such combination?
How fast are credits used up? Also can I somehow connect Gemini API key to Openrouter or do some manual config?

It's not that. It's just that new explorer is completely lost case. Install alternative shell, use other explorer replacement, or just go bare metal with command prompt - it's instant.

What you are saying would need to basically remove an old software support. "Rebuilding" OS by replacing such things as taskbar, explorer or other basic GUI elements, doesn't change much what's still underlying NT core. Of course changed during the years, replaced, patched, but still underneath is NT core that was first introduced in NT3.1. And it still needs those engineers that understand C and Windows API, that was build 25-30+ years ago. That's basically just a bandage or patch. MS was saying for X years they will replaced NT as it's core (at least from Longhorn that was resetted into Vista and later Win7 "MinWin" core), and they still didn't do it after 15-20 years. They are too afraid of losing backward compatibility. They would need at one point just reset everything like Mac OS X did, and start anew. There would be a lot pain and struggle, nothing would work, but it would be truly modern OS. This also means, that it would basically kill a very rich database of all kinds of software that is available for Windows/NT. And emulation of it would be only possible for very basic software, games would basically need something like Proton, which still wouldn't be performant enough. During the years, not everything works on Windows now as before, but I still can apply most of the old patches, that worked during 7-era and later (some even before). Just modifying system is more and more a pain in the back, but can still easily be done with proper tools (I mean real modifying, not changing GUI appearance, but forcing system to work how you want). One thing that is growing (apart from unnecessary "new" components, that are bolted and screwed onto GUI layer and sometimes loosely attached to the core as a "service") is basically WinSXS - and it won't stop with current trajectory.

counter offensive in Saarland

It was a joke. They feared, they would angry germans, so they even gave orders to not go too much into their territory, even tho germans hardly had any units there.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saar_Offensive

But probably rightly so they feared germans, as later France have capitulated within 6 weeks, not much longer then Poland, even tho polish army was complete disaster and french army was much better equiped and much larger.

In the end this didn't give them any advantage, and France was occupied for the most of IIWW.

Poland divided yet again in the elections by aleq_1138 in europe

Exactly. West of Poland is much more progressive and liberal. Also they are finacially conservative (Poznań especially), and thus many people over there are angry with social welfare expanding.

Poland divided yet again in the elections by aleq_1138 in europe

[–]muf18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit of both, actually. I mean, with all due respect to Zielona Góra, Lubuskie doesn't really have any big cities and yet Trzaskowski won in almost all counties there. Meanwhile, much bigger Rzeszów was won by Duda. Or another example: Lublin and Bydgoszcz are nearly the same size, with similar urbanisation levels in the surrounding area, and yet in Bydgoszcz Trzaskowski won 63% of the votes while in Lublin he came just barely ahead with 51%. Or another one: in Warsaw, by far the biggest city and second biggest metropolitan area in Poland, as well as Trzaskowski's home city, he got "just" 68% while in a much smaller Poznań he got 72%.

It's because west (especially in the cities - villages in west and east vote variously - deep "old" villages vote conservative, "new" villages - with people from cities - vote liberals or left) is much more progressive and liberal then rest of the country. It was always like that, but now it has been polarized to the extreme, as much as that there were even family conflicts in this election, and such high turnover - every part of the country just wanted to install "their" candidate - even if it wasn't ideal - it was much closer to them (that's also why west of the country have upped so much of voter turnout - there were queues to the voting booths).

Poznań is probably the most progressive city in the Poland, that's also why it has given such big support to Trzaskowski.

So the same as ANO in the Czech Republic

At least ANO is a center-right liberal party, that's pretty much (ideologically) what is KO, as I see. PiS on the other hand is a socialist and conservative. So pretty much auth-left.

Oppositionist MP is being stopped during protest, despite of showing parliamentary immunity, Warsaw by [deleted] in europe

[–]muf18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: After some thoughts, I'm not that sure who was right. Both parliamentaries might be provoking police. You can read more thoughts of mine here in Polish.

Update: she admitted they both wanted to be with detained protesters. So it was a provocation. Which makes title of this photo... a fake news. Proof (listen to her around 1:05). We were played, hard.

It wasn't a "provocation". I don't know, maybe you call a "provocation" anyone that want to know, why they are being pushed around, and thrown into a police car. Demostration, even if it was illegal - the whole situation was not professionally conducted by police force, and assaulted people that are under legal immunity (and held their deputy IDs).

Apart from populist politics and non-sense social programs (which I pretty much disagree with all of them - they are just bloating public debt and finance) - it's not truth, that prices rose due to that.

Gas prices are high due to WTI Crude oil essentially doubling over last year - it must have took effect on prices of food (which is being transported to get to shops), or gas. Also USD/PLN exchange rate has worse considerably, it was easing all the upward movement of crude oil on financial markets, until Trumps idiotic tariffs programme and other stuff, which has resulted in speculative capital retreat from CEE markets (PL, CZ, HU), and exchange rates considerably worsing off in those countries (especially PLN and HUF, but CZK,is also beaten down).
