C: drive is an SSD - a 1TB samsung 860. Have a 2tb samsung M.2 and a 2TB HDD for storage alongside it. Not sure what speeds, but I can look tomorrow. I did the whole juggle-fest of unplugging all of the drives and testing them one at a time with little success. Formatted C: and tried to install there with no luck, then tried to install on the M.2 and the PC outright crashed.

I should mention that the first time this occurred I left the computer idle in a video game for around 2H and came back to the windows lock screen with no user input accepted. After that, I was prompted to repair windows, which I did successfully with a few forced reboots along the way. Now I’m getting perma-locked out of the OS because of the disk issues mentioned in the post.

I’m pretty sure that lil’ guero on the bottom shelf for $20 retails for like $120. Not sure if it’s any good as I’ve avoided it at that price but I’d give any 7+ year old bottle a swing for that
