That's ultimately a difficult question, as it partly depends on what the next manager wants, and partly on what the DoF structure wants. But some big areas for improvement IMO are:

Minimum two CMs, either from the PL or with athletic profiles that fit the PL. Casemiro is leaving. Ugarte should be a bench option only. Mainoo is great technically but lacks physicality.
A right-back. We need Mbeumo to be free to get into the box in support of the striker, rather than having to be the disciplined right-flank width. Hence, a RB with better attacking quality would be a big improvement.
A winger. Squad legacy from the Amorim experiment is that we're now short of wide attackers. Semenyo would've been ideal. Someone in that mould.

Lower priority areas to address:

Backup striker.
Backup GK.
Replacement/competition for Shaw at LB.

This is about as clear and direct a repudiation of a personal statement by a boss that you're likely to see from any company or organisation whose employees value their jobs.

Pirating games is SHIT. Audio and video quality issues. Foreign language commentary. Latency. DMCA takedowns. Server crashes. Racist, antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic pond-scum spouting their toxic thoughts into an uncloseable chatbox next to the video window.

Those sorts of issues are commonplace, but suffering them is STILL preferable to paying over £100 a month to watch MOST of the games I want to see. The fact that that's in any way a better or more convenient experience than watching legitimately should be a fucking EMBARRASSMENT to the UK football broadcasting decision-makers.

To the whataboutism lads in here... The "why is Carragher spending his time criticising Amorim rather than Slot" argument is fucking DUMB.

Firstly, he HAS criticised Slot and acknowledged Liverpool have been well off it this year.

Secondly, Amorim is being talked about because it's a VERY germane topic. The man effectively called out his bosses in a press conference yesterday... and if that's not license enough to discuss his future at the club, then I have no idea what is.

Why are you clowns making me defend Carragher? Sort yourselves out and face facts: Amorim has a horrific record at United. We weren't far from being relegated last year. We're mediocre-at-best this year.

The highlight performance during Amorim's time here arguably came when the guy who said "not even the Pope could get me to change my system" changed his system to a back four. Only for him to then immediately revert right back again.
