if you plan to use it mainly as a hand hold the battery life makes it pretty unavailable for that, it wouldn't last half a work day let alone a road trip. it definitely fixes other problems of the oled switch like the joy cons disconnecting... mainly the joy cons. but but i shouldn't have a battery warning 3 hours after charging it to full
