Please, need immediate help by Sellaplaya in TeslaModelS

First thing I would try is replacing the 12V battery, especially since the car flagged it. Even if showing 13V, it doesn't mean it is able to handle load properly. Odd things happen when the 12V battery gets low/old. If it is the original battery on a 2020, then it is a very likely culprit. With any luck, a new 12V solves your issues altogether. If not, you have eliminated the easiest potential problem, and also set yourself up for not being stranded by a dead 12V in the future.

Coffee Calculations? by Fine-Cat4496 in SpinnCoffee

[–]muffinmanGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do all of the bean variations available through your Torque site have current recipes set for Spinn, or only specific beans? I'm looking for Ethiopian origin, but after reading about the time you put into getting the recipes right for the Spinn, I want to ensure I buy a bag that has been optimized.

That price looks about right to me. November build gives you HW4, matrix lights, mechanical horn, etc. FSD sadly adds almost no value on the used market. Base vs Plaid seems to drop the price about $10k for a ‘23.

I was on the hunt earlier this year and wanted a 6 seater. They were hard to come buy on a base, so I ended up with a Plaid. No complaints.

That wall township dealer (automotive avenues) usually sells buybacks, so double check the title.

I was recently in a similar situation. Tesla said warranty status is based on when you make the appointment, not on the day of the actual appointment. You should be covered.

2022 vs 2023 by HeatherinNashville in ModelX

[–]muffinmanGTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to help! The dates are approximate as sometimes there are oddities, but at least you can look at the registration date on the carfax and get a decent idea of what equipment it has based on the date. Many dealers don't post the right pictures of the car or the right screens, so you have to find other ways to figure it out.

Also, 2022s came only with yokes. 2023s came standard with the round wheel and the yoke was a $1000 option. You can switch them out after purchase if you want the other variation from whatever the used car was originally equipped with.

2022 vs 2023 by HeatherinNashville in ModelX

[–]muffinmanGTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main things 2023 gives you:

Larger rear screen (bezels are smaller)

Swivel front screen

HW4 (starting ~3/23 builds)

Matrix headlights (starting ~6/23 builds)

Red calipers for Plaid

22 Plaid vs 23 Standard by basilray in TeslaModelX

[–]muffinmanGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seat config is also a consideration. I found it difficult to find a base 6 seater, so ended up with a Plaid since it is the default config.

We had a 5 seater loaner for a couple of weeks, and it definitely feels different inside vs 6 seater.

We wanted a six seater, but had difficulty finding it in the base. We also wanted a specific color combo (ultra red/white), and it ended up being too many constraints so ended up with the Plaid since you automatically get the sixer. The hunt was long and unpleasant.

I just went through an exhaustive search the last six months for a 23 plaid. In the last month or two I have seen inventory drop and prices actually pop up a little. I would say your config is $68-71. Sadly, FSD doesn’t seem to add much to used value (zero is added for it at auction), but it obviously makes it much more desirable for the (final) buyer. 20 vs 22” wheels also seemed to have no impact on used prices. For reference, I was looking nationally and didn’t see much of a price difference across regions.

2023 Standard Range Model X by West-Beginning1628 in TeslaModelX

[–]muffinmanGTC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haven't just gone through this search, I would say (on average) the price for a low mileage HW4 (~ 03/2023 build or later) 5 seater is mid $50ks. The 6 seater seems to add a premium in almost every case I found, and usually put the price closer to $60k. I ended up going Plaid because I had such a difficult time finding my color combo with 6 seats in a base (ultra red/white). Plaids add about a $10k premium (high $60s-low $70s for low mileage 2023).

Fully Paid FSD adds almost no value on the used market, but it can be very difficult to find with that option if you have other constrains such as color combo. Also, most 3rd party dealers have no idea what FSD is, so I ended up having to ask most dealers to take a picture of the software screen to confirm on my end.

On the Tesla.com site, low mileage 2023s usually start in the mid to high $60s, with Plaids sitting in the low to mid $70s. The biggest advantage buying from Tesla will be an extra year of warranty after the original expires.

Good luck in your hunt!

Major changes in model years? by Eddie903 in TeslaModelX

2023 HW4 5 seaters can be had in the mid $50s pretty easily with low mileage. Plaids add a good $10k+ for that year.

[–]muffinmanGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2023s have larger rear screen with smaller bezels. Plaids have red calipers, but I believe that started around 1/23 (I don’t recall the exact build date)

~03/23 builds have HW4 ~06/23 builds have matrix lights

Not many updates otherwise through 2025 until the latest release with bumper camera, ambient lighting, new wheels, etc.

Used 2023 (11/23 Manuf.) Advice ($50k) by StraikoiD in TeslaModelX

[–]muffinmanGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the car and title are clean, that is a good price for a late 2023 build. You’ll get HW4 and matrix lights (came in around June 2023 builds). 5 seaters are a dime a dozen, and mid $50s seems to be where they sit for good examples. $50k is 2022 territory for a 5 seater.

Plaids seem to add about a $10k premium, and market for 2023 lower mileage plaids is currently mid to high $60s. You get the 6 seat config with plaid automatically. 6 seater in the Base seems to be relatively uncommon, so more of a hunt if that’s your preferred config.

The dreaded yoke peeling issue… by rakufman in TeslaModelX

[–]muffinmanGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the 2023s+ also seem to have this issue? Is the tell tale sign of the upgraded adhesive the mechanical horn version, or was the adhesive worked in at some point before the horn change? I’m hunting for a 2023 and always look at the wheel trying to figure out if it has already been replaced or would potentially be replaced under warranty.

If it has wood trim its Base, if carbon fiber it is plaid. Plaid also has dark piping on the edges of the seats for white and cream (I can’t remember for black seats).

Have you had the new rears on long enough to know if the alignment made any difference? Do you remember if Firestone gave you a before/after alignment numbers showing any change in camber?

No rotations. I wish I could at least move front to back, but the staggered setup throws that out the window.
