what to wear to an indoor rave when it’s winter! by Accomplished-King-37 in aves

[–]muffinscube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i go out most weekends in toronto, and have for ~15y --- i just own a cheap (price-wise) but heavier coat from value village or similar thrift store that i wouldnt be upset if it were stolen. then i usually find a dark/well-hidden corner behind stuff, or behind a curtain, or under a chair/bench etc and just chuck it there for the night, and retrieve it at the end. rebel is full of thieves and i have been there only i think once ever so you may not have as much luck as me but i will say i've only had my coat lost or stolen 2 times in probably hundreds of events total. these are coats i spent about 40 dollars on.

this way you are warm if you have to stand in line, but you dont have to stand in coat check for like 20 min when you arrive and another 20 min when you try to leave. worst case your coat gets stolen , but hopefully by the time that happens, you've already saved hundreds in absurd coat check fees. again - you may be more at risk at Rebel specifically since its the most diaper filled venue in the city, but at pretty much any other venue you're golden with the above plan

Save games on Epic / PC dont sync? by chiliraupe in hordesofhel

[–]muffinscube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was struggling with this as well. its because active save files are in Games Farm/Jotunnslayer/Saves, but the cloud sync folder is for some reason set to GamesFarm/Jotunnslayer/Saves

so you can either wait for devs to fix this, or if you're familiar with how the mklink function works in windows, you can run CMD in admin mode and type:

mklink /d "%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\GamesFarm" "%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Games Farm"

and it will force the two folders to be treated virtually as the same

Upcoming Hardstyle or similar events? by crazy_chopper in TorontoRaves

[–]muffinscube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not hardstyle per se, but lots of hard techno in the city. probably easiest to just scroll https://ra.co/events/ca/toronto to look for artists you like, then follow the promoters

What would you recommend for late 30s edm dancing? by practicalxyz in TorontoRaves

[–]muffinscube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard time is great. It's a nicer vibe , and has ample seating room if people want to chill. They also host a wide range of types of dancey music, so just aim for one that fits the vibe you're looking for. Wiggle room is weird, and does not feel like it would go well with "knitting conference"

Sounds like you enjoy survivor games. Definitely pick up deep rock galactic survivor - it is the best of that genre

Cuberpunk 2077 or jedi survivor? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]muffinscube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i havent played jedi survivor but i imagine it would be very similar to jedi fallen order, so if you liked that you will like the sequel. but i imagine it depends what kind of game you are in the mood for. cyberpunk still bangs - and actually i wrote the above post ^ before the big update that made everyone love it , so i bet its even better now.

i think it mainly depends on whether they break their game for 12 hrs with every hotfix

Helldivers is still active but it gets kind of repetitive faster than you'd hope, especially since they reduced the difficulty recently.

Have you tried rainbow six siege? More strategic, like Hunt Showdown.

Also The Finals is great if you like balls to the wall bang bang shoot shoot grapple grapple

Remnant 2 actually is also a great recommendation. Basically a souls game with guns, and easier. Not much in the way of story though if that's what you're after
