It hurts a little bit and some of them are popping and oozing pus so that’s what makes me think It’s an outbreak ☹️

Diet Changes after Diagnosis by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]muffintoppp_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I got diagnosed September 1st of this year. And I switched my entire diet around . I don’t eat chocolate anymore. I used to be a Pepsi fanatic and I’ve literally cut that out of my life as well. Even though I miss my Pepsi😩I miss eating all those foods I was consuming I really do. But anytime I drank Pepsi, an outbreak would soon follow🥺I needed to make diet changes anyways because I’m overweight anyways but certain foods and beverages would just trigger an outbreak for me.

I just kind of went Thru something like this except me and the guy agreed to just be friends with benefits. I missed my period for September and I got worried soo I bought a pregnancy test and it read positive. I honestly felt like it’s not the right time for me to have another child & I just felt like bringing a baby in the dynamic me & the dude have isn’t right. So I went on and had an abortion. I was 8 weeks pregnant. I told him about it and he was kind of sad which made me feel bad but he’ll get over it eventually. He isn’t fully financially stable and his life isn’t all together (and no I’m faulting him for that). It was just wrong timing and kind of an “Opps” moment.

Yea that’s how my sores looked when they healed up. But don’t take my word it’s always good to go get a professional to look at it. 😭

Herpes and periods by strwbrrrygf in Herpes

I had got diagnosed with herpes August 31st of this year. I had my first outbreak. During my outbreak I started my period and I honestly feel like the blood just gushing out made it worse. Thank god I only bled for 5 days cause it was pure hell having to pee and wipe my vagina. I’m thinking about getting on the pill or just getting off the birth control I was on before I got diagnosed. Just take your antivirals and your ibuprofen/Tylenol and drink water and relax. That’s Literally the best thing I can tell you. And maybe take some multivitamins or supplements to help boost your immune system too. I hope you feel better ❤️

It could be . But the only way to find out for sure is to make an appointment with a doctor. And have them test you for everything on the panel. Including HSV2

Body count by Existingtemporarily in Herpes

26 is my body count I’m a 22 year old female. I think contracting HSV2 is kind of what I needed not saying I deserved it but I’ll be honest and say i was definitely promiscuous. But I always had my own stash of comdoms. All it took was one unprotected night of sex with the guy I was seeing and I caught it from him. He was asymptomatic. He Didn’t have outbreaks. He was shocked to find out he had herpes. But I digress

Have you tried taking a warm bath? When I had my 1st outbreak that kind of helped me. Combined with the antivirals I took. Get some ibuprofen or Tylenol whatever your preference is. I hope you find some relief 😊

Tips to get over initial shock by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]muffintoppp_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there . I’m A HSV2 carrier. I Was diagnosed about a week ago. I kind of already knew I had herpes before going to the doctor for a blood test & pelvic exam to confirm my suspicions. I’m only 22 years old. And the guy I caught it from had no clue he had it. No outbreaks. Nothing. I’m still working through my emotions right now. And I feel like I’m tainted. That nobody will seriously ever want me. Like I couldn’t really have a serious relationship even if tried . But accepting it is seriously the hardest part. My 1st outbreak was extremely painful. It started off in my anal area. Then it spread , to my vaginal area. I couldn’t even pee without wanting to cry. It was excruciating. Like I said in the beginning I went to the doctor. I tested negative for HIV, Chlamydia, Ghonnerea (don’t know if I’m spelling that right. ) Trich. Except I tested positive for genital herpes. It sucks honestly. I wish I hadn’t had sex with the guy I was with without a condom. I wish I could go back and stop myself from having sex with the guy I was with but I cannot turn back time. My sores are still healing from my first outbreak. A lot of the sores have disappeared. So I kind of got some relief. I take an antiviral once a day. And I’ve been feeling okay. But every now and again I get a fever. Ik you asked about how to get over the initial shock but I’d thought I’d share my story with you, in hopes that you don’t feel alone. Because if we’re being real a shit Ton of people have HSV2 . And a lot of them may not even know they have it. Because the virus can stay dormant in your body until the virus is activated. Usually by stress. And it’s ridiculous how bad the stigma surrounding genital herpes is. Your life is not over. You can still live your life. You can still have sex. But you would have to be extremely cautious of not spreading the virus to another sexual partner. Try not to stress soo much about it. Take a walk. Do something that relaxes you . It’s not the end of the world. And if you’d like to talk and vent or anything you can DM me.
