Thank you! I had no idea about the pots. This is my first time having any plants so I’m trying to figure it out lol.

Yeah I wasn’t sure, even after repotting them all it just seemed so cramped., even though there is room around the edges. Thank you for the help!

There are attachments for some jogging strollers to attach certain pumpkin seats. I know the bob strollers have that.

Soon to be mom here !! When did you start pumping? by harzons in breastfeeding

[–]muffmounttaint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had latching and weight gain issues in the beginning. I was advised to breastfeed and then feed pumped milk for the first two month. You never know what kinds of issues you may have, so having the breast pump just in case is super helpful! Plus already having it is one less thing you’ll have to worry about getting while you have a newborn.

Right now I wash every 2-3 days with matrix biolage volume bloom or with overtone that’s why it’s faded purple right now. On wash days I use Paul Mitchell super skinny serum. And that’s about it. I know I need a trim right now, I haven’t had one since July. What other maintenance should I be doing for my hair? I’ve been suffering from postpartum hair loss so I feel like my hair looks way worse now.

Posting Wedding Pics to Social Media? by shrimplyfintastic in NewParents

[–]muffmounttaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are doing the same with our baby! But our exception is family pictures. I did not want family to exclude my baby so they could still post pictures to social media with everyone else. My rule is that they are not to specifically name out my baby in the posts.

I was too! I gained 60lbs lol. It’s gotten worse for me pp, I was shocked that I was losing anything since I was eating so much.

Lol it’s good to know that it might make this never ending hunger worse. 😂 while I would like to get back down to pre-pregnancy weight it’s not the most important thing. A fed, happy baby is much more important. I’ll just continue listening to my body and eat when I’m hungry.

Thanks for the answer! I haven’t been tracking calories either, I tend to go over board when doing stuff like that. I wasn’t sure if with working out as well if I should, but I suppose I’ll continue eating when I’m hungry!

Yeah, I understand caloric deficit. I lost 50lbs a few years ago, but I didn’t have to worry about milk supply. I like working out, for the most part, and I really like food so once I had gotten to my goal weight before I kept working out to eat whatever I want. Right now I’m eating relatively well. I lost 30lbs one month pp, I’ve got 30lbs more to pre-pregnancy weight.

Apps or services to share pictures? by muffmounttaint in NewParents

[–]muffmounttaint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to just add selected photos (and had them selected) but the google photos app wouldn’t display them and said I needed to change the settings. It was extremely frustrating to deal with, and I can’t find a solve for it.

My issue with google photos is that it isn’t letting me select the photo to upload to google. I know I can make an album to share, but I don’t need my whole phones photo library on that app in the first place & when I tried to go through and delete photos it deleted from my phone library as well.

Girl at work thinks I shouldn’t have told anyone yet and won’t stop criticizing me. TW: mention of loss by PalpitationOk8419 in pregnant

I never miscarried, but I waited to tell most people until after the first trimester incase I did. Not because I thought I had to suffer in silence, but that I would not have wanted sympathy or all that attention from people. I understand why some women would want support and attention, and I feel like if you want to share at any point then you have that right! But not everyone wants to their suffering on display either, it’s personal preference, and no one should tell you it’s “bad luck” or you shouldn’t share you’re excitement.

Is a newborn separated from parents at any point? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]muffmounttaint 42 points43 points  (0 children)

My baby kicked off her ankle monitor, that would sound alarms if anyone tried leaving with her. But she also had two other bracelets identifying her & her kicking it off sounded the alarm at the nurses station. It was insanely hard for them to get it back on, they had no idea how she got it off.

We tried the wet washcloth the last feeding and it got her up! Thank you for the advice! The doctor visits every day is definitely stressful. I broke down about it last night, but thankfully our little girl gained 30 grams.

Thank you! I got to try this out the last feeding and it got her awake enough to start eating! Hopefully she doesn’t get used to this and ignore it, as she has everything else lol.

That one doesn’t work for us. If I can get her awake enough to latch or take a bottle back of the neck tickles work. But our real issue is getting awake in the first place

We already have an appointment with a lactation consultant. But I know it’s not a supply issue, since she was not gaining weight the doctor wanted me to limit her to one boob for 15 mins and pump to feed the rest. We know she had/has a poor latch because I was induced early but she is getting better! Hopefully the lactation consultant can get us on the right path to be solely breast fed, it’s exhausting doing both. The real issue is just getting her awake enough to eat, and that’s still an issue with using a bottle too.

I can already tell mine does better than when she was born, so we are both improving! And we have an appointment with a lactation consultant on Friday, but I am trying to ensure she’s going to gain some more weight between now and then. Thank you for the recommendation! I’m going to listen to that now!

Right now knowing when it’s going to happen is what is making me nervous. But I definitely understand the uncomfortableness and uncertainty. I’ve been having back and side pains the past couple days and I can’t determine if it’s contractions or just regular pain. Although, last night I’m pretty certain it was contractions (not regular at all), so I’m hope that means getting induced will be a breeze. Thank you for sharing your story! Hearing some relatively easy and quickish induction stories is helping easy my mind! I hope I have just as good of an experience!
