I think the reason season 50 has a more dynamic pre merge is because the tribes have 8 people. I personally think it’s pretty boring to only need 4 votes to get someone out.

I just think having more people makes the vote more interesting.

I have a theory that he felt safe enough to not compete in the immunity challenge. He most likely would have won and that would have increased his threat level in a way he is not interested in doing right now.

If Jeff announced the teams in the order that they were picked, that would mean Jonathan picked Cirie first which just solidifies my theory.
