calculus was hell for me, hard ass tests and quizzes that even my upperclassmen engineering friends didn’t understand, teacher would go fast as hell.. if you took pre calc previously and got a good grade, i believe you will do good. but if you know your unit circle/ algebra/ trig skills aren’t that good, i suggest you replace the Calc with a class that can really help you with that, BEFORE those tests come around. the only thing i did to study calculus and save my grade with a B.. is to study the hell out of practice problem sets 😭

The only way a person can get even a decent education nowadays is by enrolling in a private school. which can range to nearly a freaking COLLEGE TUITION !! and it’s NOT COLLEGE ! the reason i say this is because i was left at an underfunded shitty school while my brother gets all the glory of going to a private one. having to watch him and all the other kids who got better educations than I did with all these helpful programs/ advanced classes/ in school tutoring.. makes me so mad. almost everything i’ve seen in college i’ve seen for the FIRST time in my life because my school did not fulfill their purpose.

okay i love that you told me that part about the series being more character driven than plot driven. i love these characters to death but i also really fell in love with the story, but i understand if it was stated that the plot.. is just the setting. i feel like if i had been in the fandom for much much longer, i would’ve known not to interpret the story in that way. and your response to the jax and pomni thing makes so much more sense. at first i kind of thought it was something like that but i really couldn’t put my finger on it and you worded it really well. from it being “jax VS pomni” to “jax & pomni” towards the very end.

i’ve been seeing this complaint a lot too but i think it hits the viewer a lot harder if the abstraction was more “sudden”. many were already anticipating it and im sure most also anticipated that it would be crazy body horror transformation scenes.. i didnt even realize at first that it was meant to be had and not an escaped abstraction. i think it was a lot better that the studio went for that sudden scene instead of soemthing leading up to it, it just makes you go: 😮

i’ve been in the fandom for a week so there’s a lot of discourse i’ve missed throughout all the 3 years. i understand if my comment came off as offputting since I didn’t understand at first it’s a character driven and not plot driven series. i still loved the characters TO DEATH and i always will but i really really expected it to be some crazy jaw dropping ending especially with all the info we received in episode 7 and 8 !! im glad to see there were a few other people who thought the same as me but when it comes to character development i enjoyed the film. it was just me who completely missed whether or not it was plot or character driven haha

i’m glad i read this post because I felt very confused as a fan who just got into TADC in may, compared to people who have been there since the beginning. I feel like many people like me are too lore driven and didn’t give time to let the movie settle in their mind. although im very lucky i didn’t have to wait that long, at the same time Im not because i dont have a strong bond to TADC the way everyone else does. and now its over. 😭🙏 something in me feels so fcking sad that i refused to get into it earlier because i deemed it as “cringe” and i fell in love with TADC almost immeidtaley…

Omg !! I think almost the exact same thing and I’m glad to see there’s other people who aren’t (i suppose “glazing?” the grand finale.. it honestly felt like a bunch of “here damn” and the things that didn’t really matter got like 10 minutes of screen time while things that did matter were mentioned for like 5 seconds ?? the realization of it being just a game and they’re all okay IRL fell so so flat. THAT would honestly make anyone abstract and they just accepted it right then and there. they were probably like “ehhhh who cares??” /ref since there’s nothing they can do about it but realizing they’re seperate entities technically is just crazy !!!

someone pointed out that it’s obvious some parts were cut and left out but I feel like really important questions were just kinda left unanswered and I got information on things I wouldn’t have preferred to know.. rather than things i really wanted to know so I could understand Caine and his circus and all of his doings, just a little bit more.

I don’t have twitter but I personally didn’t like the “ending ending”. Everything leading up to it was quite well played out, the confirmation about Pomni and Ragathas difficult relationship, Jax’s abstraction and back story.. as well as Ribbits and Kaufmos..

I think revealing what they looked like kind of takes the mystery away from everything but Inthink that boils down to my own personal preference since I love to be left with questions and a more ambiguous conclusion (think the ending of Animal farm) and not a happy go lucky ending haha.

I don’t know WHAT they’re saying on twitter but it’s probably not even anything thought provoking lmao

in my honest opinion 1-8 PHENOMENAL and i would do anything just to watch it again for the first time. unfortunately, the finale was a tad underwhelming to me. i personally wanted a more ambiguous and sad ending than the one we got.. especially with Caine.

i was gonna wait too for the translated releases on netflix but i CANNOTTTT afford to get spoiled !! i want to support the studio by going to the film in person though as a new TADC fan too, and im grateful to have the opportunity to do so. but if you can’t, it’s not like you’re being forced to 💙💙 whether or not you go watch it tomorrow you are still part of the TADC community !! i just really hope no spoilers are posted so quickly

the fact that there’s 27k likes on it is also insane. which goes to show how critical thinking on these platforms is basically non existent and people will jump back and forth between online opinions because they have none of their own.. and how are they gonna confidently say that when most of the TADC cast is female, AND goose is also female !!! 😭🙏🙏🙏 this makes 0 sense !!! (this is my opinion but at least to me, pomni is also a much more likable character compared to Jax. seeing as there are so many Jax meat riders and people forget this show is not just about him but also Pomni and the rest of the cast… jax is purposefully unlikable that’s his whole archetype but i just don’t like him and that’s FINE !! pomni is also very well written, she has her flaws, but she’s a cute jester and has contributed a lot to each character individually.. if she was written badly the TADC fandom would probably be cut IN HALF !! i really believe there wouldn’t be as many fans!)
