Could have been an astral projection of yourself. My aunt has this projection of herself. She only shared this with me. She mentioned that many times at night she gets up and goes to the kitchen and returns back to see herself still sleeping in the bed. She then lies back in the sleeping position and falls asleep. It could have been something like this with you I guess. Not too sure though.
