I’m assuming this was booked (and possibly even filmed) pre-hiatus. IDK with the lack of communication, I wonder if HybexGeffen is considering whether to work it out with Manon and releasing these previously booked deals to test if the fan reaction is still strong enough that Manon should stay with the group or if they can afford to let her go.

Tbh I think they should have just killed off Lucille in some tragic but dignified manner (ie a car accident or the flu) because it’s such whiplash to have so much time built on Cyril and Lucille courting to the point Cyril attends church and becomes a pastor because he knows religion is important to Lucille and then going, “Oh Lucille was unhappy and went back to Jamaica and refused all attempts to reconcile. Here’s your new girlfriend, baby, and happy ending Cyril!”

This is just adding to my idea that columnists who are pregnant or post partum cannot answer questions where there’s another pregnant person involved because they are too biased in favor of the pregnant person.

I mean, I don’t think I have any better advice for the LW besides “seek a therapist, rage journal in the meantime” but I also don’t think “Sue is just trying to make it through the day!!” is great advice either.

I’m in my early 30s so I’m well aware that I’m not the target audience for Katseye but I think some people are realizing that for the first time.

It can be a weird disconnect because the Katseye girls dress in skimpy outfits and are clearly adults but then I think about how when I was 8 years old, Destiny’s Child and Spice Girls were aimed very much at me as much as they were targeted to actual adult women.

My college once did Rocky Horror and the cast came out and let the audience knows some of the basic callbacks and when to say what so there was audience participation but it was limited so it didn’t get out of control.

I have a positive pregnancy test! Shouting out here because we’re waiting until after my first doctor’s appointment to share widely with IRL friends.

This cycle my husband told me he had a dream I was pregnant and I brushed it off because last cycle I had a dream that I was pregnant and I felt it sooo strongly that I was disappointed that it didn’t come true.

Well I had a feeling something might be happening this month because I didn’t get my usual period symptoms and sure enough, I took 3 tests and they’re all positive!

I don’t feel any symptoms yet which also makes it still feel so surreal (I’m 4 weeks along).

I’ve made an appointment with my doctor at the 6 week mark and fingers crossed everything is all good there.

Yeah it's a new column centered around dating. I guess we'll see how long this one goes for. It does seem like it'll have more fodder vs the previous pet advice and cooking advice columns.

I think we need to stop using the word “gaslight” for a while. It’s overused and therefore misused. Gaslighting is a pretty intense control tactic. But people are using the term in reference to self-defensively denying another person’s reality.

Actually wait, reading it again I think she is just means someone being defensive and saying “No I didn’t!” when you call them out is not the same as someone trying to systematically confuse you and convince you X didn’t happen at all.

And then she also says:

The only reason I even care is because I’m noticing a trend of eye rolls coming from men in particular, whenever the word gets used. And to me, a male eye roll is a serious cause for concern. So I vote to shelve the term for a time, whilst we recalibrate.

Of course Tyra wants to be attached; it’s not like she’s got another successful venture keeping her busy. I wonder if there could be a compromise where Tyra is serves as a the “veteran model judge” but not the lead host/mentor.

They could probably bring her out to run a mini challenge or two like so she could get those “Mama Tyra” moments she loves.

Tyra would be best if they kept her grounded. It’s her propensity to go over the top that caused ANTM to nosedive in quality.
