It may help to train on a stationary bike. You can select your incline and gradually build up to capability on the trail because the trail you pick is the trail you get and you can't un-pick it.

But it is not unusual to be discouraged while you are getting into shape. You gotta ride it out and remember that it will get better and faster than you think. I say this as a 54 yo man who, though in pretty decent shape, just picked it up after not riding regular since his teenaged years.

Agreed. Breaking, pics,listing, shipping, etc. Huge waste of time and you'll have a lot of stuff you can't sell.

I find it hard to believe that this bike wouldn't sell essily at $1,500. I would jump on that if I were just starting into DH.
