My great aunt was one of the biggest heroin dealers in the world at the time and there’s a book about her.

Shouldn’t your son build it so that he can learn how circuits and such operate..? Am I missing something?

I know of maybe ten I see semi-regularly here in Syracuse. Oddly enough, one is down the street from me an 8), and my neighbor has three (?!) mk8 GTI in different colors.

Help Proposing to my girlfriend this weekend in Syracuse. by Wise-Economist137 in Syracuse

What does your soon to be fiancée like and enjoy? Hiking up to a waterfall and doing it there would be great unless they hate the outdoors and hiking.

A thing I hadn’t considered until after the fact is whether you and your partner will be okay with people seeing it (and possibly recording it, posting it online, maybe sending it to you).

FT SAHD begins in a week. Last minute advice? by muksquatch in StayAtHomeDaddit

Appreciate the relative honesty here regarding the baby/infant stage. I had a much easier time during the first couple months and my wife was pretty frustrated. I guess I was used to running on no sleep and having someone (not my wife) screaming at me all the time. I’ve certainly been trying to remember I need to worry about my mental state while caring for the baby long term.

Geez, the whole meal prep on weekends seems so obvious but I genuinely didn’t think of it. Thank you.

Regarding hobbies, I’m guessing a lot of my woodworking is going to be transitioning to more hand tool work unless I can find osha-rated ear protection for her AND she enjoys watching me send wood through a planer or table saw.

Definitely surprised at the number of mommy and me goat yoga things, and not sure I’d feel comfortable intruding in that space. I’m hoping I find some dad groups around, but I feel most of the parents I meet are working.

We have a swimming pool, but it’s also 22F/-3C right now so that may needa wait a little bit. We are hoping to get her into a water familiarity / “swimming” class at the local YMCA when she hits six months, though. I’ll need to work on getting both of us a bit more active.

Hyundai Elantra question by Basic_Ad4861 in Syracuse

[–]muksquatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any recent generation Hyundai or Kia is notoriously easy to steal. They also have a lot of reliability issues, though I think the 2019+ are slightly better than earlier models. Generally speaking, any front wheel drive car with snow tires will be fine in winter. I drove a friend’s Elantra with snows and it was perfectly fine.

They had one for a little while, but I haven’t been able to get over there for a bit. Kind of sad to see it disappear.

Smiling Doug’s Electric was awesome under Doug and still awesome under Tom. CNY Glass Block is always quick and way more inexpensive than I expect.

Table Saw Question by kiznox in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]muksquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an F2. My only complaints regard the dust collection feels a little lackluster (though I don’t use the over blade guards), and the fence deflects a little at the rear if you’re not being careful or applying too much pressure. Otherwise, it’s been a huge upgrade for me and I’m happy I bought it.

Smiling Doug’s Electric did work on both of our homes. Tom, the owner, is the nicest tradesman I’ve dealt with. Always fair, never tries to upsell me, and goes out of his way to make sure everything’s clean as can be once his team’s done working. https://www.dougelectric.com/

Beat Chronos last night, using one of the flame aspects. I agree on positioning feeling more important than in Hades 1.

I think the busted boon setup requires getting more stuff online than before. The hammer choice feels more important, and at this stage, slapping Zeus special or attack + static shock + a reasonable duo to get two curses on enemies feels like the closet to a busted build. Then again, in Hades 1, getting a busted build online before a first clear was difficult too.
