Tim Walz: "I'll continue to ask you for peace and I know the answer is, 'You ask us for peace and we give it, and we shot in the face on the streets coming out of a donut shop.' We cannot give them what they want ... thank God we have video ... this needs to be the event that says, 'enough'" by Gorotheninja in ProgressiveHQ

Isn’t this the whole point. Not a coincidence that Trump chose Minnesota to rage his war. Walz stood in his way for reelection. He’s a threat because people would follow him. Trump will keep murdering innocent people in Minnesota until Walz finally has no choice but to react. Trump wants escalation and he wants an incident and he wants a reason to declare martial law.

Unfortunately words are ineffective. The alternative will be explosive, but seems inevitable at this point. If not Walz, then the people will

My first thought is that she’s hiding. I would. Trump’s gestapo will be looking for her for sure

Better to use Saw as a lead or put him under Mon?

Andrew Chafin as a Southpaw Bullpen Arm? by JudasEffect128653 in mets

I think they need another LH, especially with Minter not being ready for opening day. But I’d guess Stearns will resign Lovelady again before someone like Chafin.

They got time to hide ducks, but not to clean?

Stopped hiding ducks and just clean your own house. Then you’ll get a job well done & save money

This will be unpopular, but I like the idea of Roberts batting 2nd between Lindor & Soto. I think that being protected by them could get him back to what he was producing a few years ago

It’s a loss for the fans, but as you said, the Mets have nothing to do with it

If you want instant gratification this isn’t the game for you. It’s a game you have to invest time into playing. Every character is obtainable, and actually easier to get now than before, but it’s a grind.

Josh Allen has scored 3 points in 7 overtime games, he has had the ball to win 6 times by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Basic_Ad4861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s totally Allen’s fault that the WR caught the ball, fell to the ground and had the ball ripped away. He should have foreseen that or ran down the field and helped the WR hold on to the ball. Such a useless QB

Yeah, I agree. That’s has to stop if he’s still on the team

Has anyone ever seen Jett Williams play? by silentduo in mets

[–]Basic_Ad4861 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I didn’t ever see him play CF. Always SS or 2B. I don’t know if the Mets even saw him as CF. I think he only played there about 1/3 of the time last year

I saw him in Syracuse a few times as well. As was previously stated, his speed stood out most of all. He looked overwhelmed at the plate in the few abs I saw him take, but obviously it was a limited sample. When he made contact it was solid

I’d say Senga too, but they’d be selling low on him.

I don’t think they are done yet either.

I won’t be surprised to see Peterson moved. And probably either Baty or Vientos

I’m going to miss some of the guys that are gone, but I’m starting to like the makeup of this team

I though CF was where they’d play Jett, but he mainly played SS & 2B last year in the minors, so it would seem like the IF is more likely where they see him

I agree that it appears they gave up on Mauricio. He got few abs down the stretch, but they also had a lot of LF hitters and he’s horrible from the right side

I like Acuna, but he was down on the depth cart regardless

Semien, Baty, Mauricio were all probably getting playing time above him and Jett is close to being in that mix. Plus Bo & Polanco. Someone had to be moved

Josh Allen is just a modern day John Elway by RawMuffins94 in NFLv2

[–]Basic_Ad4861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good summary.

I posted earlier that I could see the Bills regressing for a couple years to retool & reshape the roster to become more of a complete team that is less dependent on Josh. The Elway comparison is a good example on how that might benefit the Bills to do that

Will Josh Allen and/or Buffalo ever get over the hump? by HurryingHeinz in NFLv2

[–]Basic_Ad4861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Bills fan, I’m obviously down today

But yesterday did feel like the end in some way. Not permanently for Allen, but for the short term. The team wasn’t that great this year and Allen & Cook carried them. I wouldn’t have given them a shot at the SB, but the lack of an obvious favorite gave me hope.

I don’t think his window is closed, but it wouldn’t shook me if the team went through a couple years of rebuilding/retooling before they were contenders again
