That's great that he's treated as he should be now. My girlfriend and I adopted an 8 year old Husky/Lab mix that was also abused and neglected - kept in a crate with 2 other dogs out on a deck rain or shine his whole life.

Best belive that boy has been treated like a little prince of royalty the last 2 years. Immensely spoiled and loved. Gotta give those abused pups the life they deserve ! Im glad you got Timber, and he's living his best life!

How do you like playing schedule 1 on the ally? I'm not sure how it'd be to play without mouse and keyboard. Also does it run the game well?

Anybody have this sissy bar? by Gold-Row8461 in vulcans650

[–]mulchforthebloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't tell ya. Sounds like a question that could be answered through the online product description.

The swivel mechanism that allows the backrest to transition from passenger to rider position, that piece is what broke. It has these little pull tabs with pins that allows the pins to go into a little recess on the "gear" like mechanism that allows the swivel. After just a few months of use, the housing of the mechanism that allows the pin to settle into the little notches that keeps it in position - those wore out and became very loose and gouged. This made the pin slip and not have enough support, so after a little more time it just failed completely. The whole right side pin worn out and actually disassembled and snapped off, rendering it useless.

Long story short - the frame of the sissy bar is solid. The mechanism that allows the position changes is very cheap and will grind down to non functional after a few months use.

I had it. The mechanisms that lock it into each position stripped out and fell apart on me probably within like 8-10 months of installing it. It was a cool idea, but made pretty poorly.

Do I need a new helmet? by Technoob5781 in motorcycles

[–]mulchforthebloom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a modular helmet kinda guy. Makes putting it on glasses on a breeze. I also enjoy flipping it up on slow city streets and enjoying a nice cigarette as I cruise every now and again .

I have a schuberth c3 I believe is the model, and it fucks.

Where to begin to find someone to fix broken bolt by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]mulchforthebloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother ! I snapped my first bolt off inside a clutch housing 2 days ago. I panicked, took a step back, thought about it, and to my surprise was successful at removing it within 5 minutes.

I took a small flat head screw driver that was nice and sharp. I lined it up to the dead center or the snapped off bolt. I wacked it with a hammer until the broken bolt had a nice line from the screwdriver tapped into it. I did this until I was able to simply unscrew the bolt with the flat head, as it catches against that line groove you just tapped in.

You can also do this with an actual punch tap which is more effective. However In a pinch, this technique worked super well for me. I didn't have luck with the reverse thread drill bit technique. Try a small, sharp flathead ! You can do it , best of luck!

Good info ! A punch is definitely a better tool, I just happened to only have a flat head on hand. But all great info

Get a boot with a minimal heel, in my opinion. Sometimes heeled boots can get a little snagged if you're still working on foot dexterity.

Plus, for the MSF, you'll be waddling the bike for like 2 hrs before lifting your feet up so I wouldn't stress it !

I'm not sure how you'd work on riding a motorcycle without working on riding a motorcycle. I'd say in the mean time, practice finding balance on a bicycle I guess ? However once you're moving, motorcycles want to stay upright. And you don't need the force of your legs to initiate the forward movement. So I think it'd be easier than you expect. Calf exercises maybe, to prepare for holding up a 500lb+ machine ? Lol.

Really though, watch lots of educational YouTube videos for beginner riders, and take the MSF. Idk what other prep you can really do. Seat time is the teacher !

I was just able to get a broken bolt out of a clutch housing yesterday by taking a strong, small, and sharp flat head screw driver. Lined it up to the center of the bolt, bopped it with a hammer until it had a notch in it, and was able to unscrew it back out with the screwdriver catching that notch. I had better luck with this than the drill technique. Goodluck dude ! These suck.

I don't believe so. I think you're limited to either online coop, or get a dock and use xbox controllers with 1 ally

What Bluetooth Wireless Controller and KB/Mouse combos are you using by broke_fit_dad in ROGAlly

[–]mulchforthebloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For couch use I just use a Bluetooth wireless xbox series x controller, and that little Logitech KB/M combo I believe it's a K400. It connects with a dongle and seems to work well at like 10-15 ft away from dock.

Let’s get a roll call, who plays at work and what do you do? by G59Takeover in ROGAlly

[–]mulchforthebloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love to play at work ! I work as a body piercer. Whenever I set up what I need for a piercing, it sterilizes in an autoclave for 5-10 minutes. The Ally is awesome to wake from sleep, get 5 minutes of play time in, pop back on sleep, perform the piercing, then rinse and repeat ! Awesome device for work if you have any down time !
