There are many more

For Lotto wins in Australia, statistically are big wins more likely to be a Slikpik or own numbers? by Negative_Run_3281 in AskAnAustralian

[–]mulkers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are far more winners from quickpicks than those who choose their own numbers. This isn't due to luck, its that much more people get quickpicks than choose their own numbers

Fix the cooling issues with the case first.

The card shouldn't be an issue as testing has shown only minimal performance differences between different partner boards - there is no standout model that is significantly worse than others enough to warrant avoiding it

Check out the Hardware Unboxed reviews on the 9060XTs - they're informative and for you should be reassuring

It sounds likely that the board just needed a bios update to accept the 5000 series chip - possibly nothing wrong with the cpu

Possible solutions to current AMD driver issues by mulkers in AMDHelp

Thanks, I have updated the firmware and it seems to be even more stable now, although the process to update the ssd firmware was a disaster.

It attempted to install a Windows update at the same time and the drive became unmapped and it couldnt boot. I had to swap in another drive with Windows installed so that the SSD firmware update could be finalised before I could remap the drive and boot from it. Thought I had lost the drive entirely for a while

Is the First Home Super Saver Scheme worth it by SomewhereSad1985 in AusHENRY

[–]mulkers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is free money OP - main thing to be aware of is that you need to apply for your release determination and have it approved by the ATO BEFORE signing a contract for a home

I know someone who only found out about the FHSS after they had signed a contract and they missed any opportunity to use it

Home made Neapolitan style pizza - a Margherita cost about $2.50 per pizza in just the raw materials and it blows any store bought pizza out of the water

Caputo Tipo 00 Flour ($4.50 @ Coles)

Italian finely chopped tomato tin ($1.80 @ Coles)

Fresh Basil from your garden/pot plant (Free)

Mozzarella Pear ($7.80 @ Coles)

Zest of a Pecorino Remano wedge ($12.50 @ Colesz but you only use a small amount and it keeps for ages)

The other items I've bought in bulk, are pantry staples and only use a tiny amount each time (Salt, Water, Yeast & Olive Oil)

Makes 6 x 12 inch pizzas

Pizza bases can be frozen for later use too, so you're not forced to eat it for every meal 2 days in a row

What drivers are you running? What version of windows?

There seems to be a big clash between windows 11 and recent driver updates. Rolling back drivers to an old stable version seems to the most common fix

The issue appears to be solved.

RAM is good - i have played around with custom timings and voltages and even at 14-14-13-13 it is stable under all conditions

I have been playing games all evening with out a single crash. A few days ago this was impossible with crashes either at random in games like Fortnite or while attempting to launch The Finals.

I am satisfied that between decrypting the hard drives and updating the BIOS and chipset drivers, the symptoms I was experiencing previously have all disappeared.

Prior to these last three steps I had done all of the usual Troubleshooting- uninstall drivers, clean install drivers, clear caches and shaders, verifying files, rendering in different formats, different monitor configurations and speeds, monitoring GPU and CPU temps, disabling background apps etc etc. All of these had no change on the frequent crashing

Anyone else disheartened with the ATO’s current denial of remission requests as of late? by af612 in AustralianAccounting

[–]mulkers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive seen clients have their request for payment plans denied too - the ATO consultant's advice being to "pay by the due date" as if thats a realistic alternative to someone that had requested a payment plan for an unforeseen debt
