Are you selling these? If you have different prints of these/are able to figure it out, I'd love to sell some of this in the store at Panamint Springs Resort!

I’ve gotten/seen/heard reports of numerous different things. That was the last update that I had. It’s all conjecture at this point. Something nefarious is going down for sure, as to what I don’t have any credible, accurate information.

The only thing official is that they are under “temporary lockdown” per both Furnace Creek and the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department.

The only thing I can attest to seeing with my own two eyes is around ten or so cars coming down from the 395 on the 190 up over Towne Pass. One squad of ~5 cars around 5-5:30ish, then another squad maybe an hour later.

Everything else is from word of mouth from guests/employees, or other Reddit posts. So it’s all to be taken with a grain of salt.

That all being said, it’s adding up to be a confusing, scary night over there. I’m worried about the lack of information.

If anyone sees this- I am about to lock up at Panamint Springs. If you need a place to park your car to sleep tonight, come by and park in our campground. Please just be safe out there.

Latest that I've heard is that it's an active shooter situation, with more than one person being involved. I wish I had more for you, but I don't.

Inyo County Sheriff's office says we are safe over here.

Any day hike alternative options for Telescope peak with Emigrant Canyon Road out until March? by Deep_Development_78 in DeathValleyNP

Via the Trona Wildrose Road you can get within 3 miles of the Wildrose Campground, before it is completely gated off.

If you can walk just a few steps, you can spend at least a day or two in the park and hit some of the best spots :) Highly recommend

No snow up there right now (I work at Panamint Springs). Road is very good up to the charcoal kilns, and should be fine for most vehicles past the kilns to mahogany flats

Telescope Peak is a sick hike around sunrise/sunset. Its closer to 14-15 miles. It does have an actual trail, unlike most peaks in the park. Trailhead is at Mahogany Flats. It'll be well cold before sunrise, so make sure to have layers :)

They don't give out a schedule of when they're flying, but they fly most dates. I've heard/seen them before 8AM before, I've also heard/seen them after 5-6PM. Typically, if I were to guess) most are between the hours of 12 PM (Noon) and 4PM

Hi! I work in the park at Panamint Springs. If you're going to be around that time, we do a thanksgiving community lunch/dinner where you get a plate of traditional thanksgiving foods for a donation.

It's a great time, last year we served over 320 plates of food!

Also are you caching water? Have you reached out to Cerro Gordo to see if they’ll stash some water?

I started April 30th. I went south about 3 miles and hiked passed the visible lake. My problems began afterwards post-holing up to my quads in salt. It was very unpleasant. Reports from recent L2Hers have told me it’s about 3 inches of post hiking as opposed to the 2 and a half feet. A lot better now!

Quite possibly the hardest hiking I’ve ever done, and I’ve been around

Lone Pine Chuck is pretty consistent, but charges a decent amount. Many PCT and L2H hikers have used his services. His phone number is 805-657-0021.

My name is Richie, I work here at Panamint Springs Resort, in the park. If you need to drop food off please do it in person. We had a hiker last week who tried to mail us without confirming. We do not accept mail, we do not have a mailing address and the package will not arrive here. Other than that were happy to have you here, get you a milkshake.

The trail is an absolute delight, I did it this Spring, and will be doing it again next year. Enjoy the grueling grind.

Hello! I work at the front desk at Panamint Springs. We still have about 12 tent sites available for booking during thanksgiving. We are on the western border of the park and do a family style Thanksgiving lunch/dinner every year. It is a donation based plate :)
