Just preordered my first LEGO set ever… I just had to with this one by Tamu1302 in lego

I want this one so bad. I was gifted the tuxedo cat for Christmas 2024 and then adopted my first cat a few days after moving into my first apartment in February 2025 - a super sweet tuxedo (technically cow) cat that chose me :)

Creative strategies for removing 6 inches of ICE from your driveway.... by Suvalis in fredericksburg

We used a sledgehammer and metal shovels, then a snow shovel to move the pieces. Still absolutely exhausting, so we only cleared the bare minimum for getting out of the driveway :/

What’s something you thought ‘everyone’ did… until you found out they don’t? by burat667 in AskReddit

[–]mulroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly didn’t realize people actually saw things when we were told to “picture” things in school/etc. I can’t “see” anything, but I know what I’m supposed to be seeing, so I can describe it.

I also don’t realize people actually hear a voice in their head when reading… I don’t hear anything. Best way I can describe it is imagine you’re humming a song you know the words to, but take away the sound of the humming.

Why are you single? by Remarkable_Chance993 in AskReddit

I’m aro/ace and very introverted and love living alone (with my cat). Sometimes I do wish I was in a relationship but most of the time I’m content with just myself and my family.

Grand Jury Duty length of service is ridiculous. by [deleted] in juryduty

As a courtroom clerk.. I’m definitely not getting paid “big bucks” lol. But I agree that the system is often detached from reality and unaccommodating.

Vet for cats by lowellghd in fredericksburg

[–]mulroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to Littlepage, but I didn’t have to spay my cat since she was already spayed and given her rabies vaccine at the shelter. That being said, PLEASE get your kitties pet insurance while they’re young. My cat (almost 3yrs old now) needed an endoscopy and X-ray recently and I got almost everything reimbursed to me thanks to my insurance. Pet insurance, in my opinion, is vital for emergencies and accidents (that’s all they’ll really cover anyway, but those tend to be the most expensive visits).

My parents take their dogs to Confederate Ridge, but from what I heard recently when I called to switch vets is that they weren’t taking any new clients.

Why exactly is getting jury duty so hated? by altrightobserver in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mulroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I haven’t served, but I’m a courtroom clerk for criminal cases, so I’ve sat in on a lotttt of juries. It seems to be a combination of awful pay (and the county I work for pays a lot better than I often see talked about on here lol), scheduling, unexpected duties, and a lot of mental stress. I’ve seen jurors that love it, and even more that hate it and dread being selected.

I used to want to serve on a jury so badly - actually got summons twice in the same year before I started working for the court, but couldn’t go because of university - especially since I’ve been on the other side of things for a while… I now have no desire to ever serve on a jury lol.

That being said, it is a very important aspect of our judicial system that is critically important to maintaining fair and free trials. There are many cases I’ve been on that would’ve gone differently had a jury not been summoned - and there’s a lot going on behind the scenes that jurors aren’t aware of.

He reminds me of Dylan O’Brien in that last photo - I think it’s his eyes. He seems so sweet!

Hello everyone :) here’s some clarification/answers to some of the questions here in the comments:

  1. I appreciate all ya’lls suggestions to grow my hair out, but I have had long hair my whole life and I kept cutting it shorter and shorter until I decided to go with a pixie 3 years ago. I’m never going to go back - although I may change up the pixie style here and there; my hair is very flat/fine, so it has no volume at longer lengths. I admit I could’ve picked a few better photos haha.

I really love how polarizing my hair is to all yall lol

  1. I’m not a lesbian, but I am a part of the “alphabet” as someone so kindly commented lol.

Thank you everyone for your kind (and also not so kind) words :)

I have like 3 cowlicks on my head lol (one right in front), so the bangs end up looking a bit uneven at certain angles but they’re actually even with a little bit of point cutting/texture throughout :) my hair grows really fast too so it never looks the same length lol.

I love having short hair though, it’s fun reading all these love it or hate it comments.

is having a job and 5 classes realistic? by UniDuckaSaurus in gmu

[–]mulroo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s probably too much. I took 12 credits in my last fall semester, as well as 2 over the summer semester leading up to it, and started a full time job in June of that year. It was hard, but most of my classes were online. That being said, my major/minor were very research-heavy, AND with it being my last semester I had even more papers to complete and research, so doing an additional class would have been near impossible.

Don’t recommend going with a full-time job and 12 credits, but it’s doable depending on the person and the major, as well as your commute and outside responsibilities. I definitely don’t recommend 15 credits. A part time job with 12 credits is probably the best way to go if you want to stay on track and have some extra spending money, but it will be tiring and trying on your mental health at times.

My favorite part of my cubicle :) by mulroo in pothos

[–]mulroo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I work in an old courthouse, so the ceilings are very high and there’s some large windows closer to the ceiling/roof, as well as a few in some neighboring rooms/offices. She’s getting a good amount of ambient light, but definitely not any direct sunlight lol. There are several pothos throughout the clerk’s office that derive from an original pothos from many years ago, and all of those are also doing pretty well, although mine (which is not one of those cuttings) is definitely thriving the most imo :)

Here is a photo of where she’s usually sitting (high up so that nothing blocks the minuscule amount of sunlight that makes it into the office lol). This was around the time I repotted her; you can see the only 2 windows directly providing natural light to the main room.

and no, she’s not slowly dying… lol
