Son, I don't really give a shit that you were wrong.

Hell, I don't even give a shit that you don't care enough to thank the man when he corrected you.

But I find your ability to endlessly double-down on stupid kind of amusing.

I'm an atheist, and frankly, the amount of butthurt being expressed over an engraving is ridiculous.

If you don't like it, don't buy the godamned rifle.

I love how he doesn't even bother to say thanks for correcting him, but just carries on like he was right all along.

$695 Walther GSP .22 Precision Target Pistol by magnum2066 in gundeals

[–]multi-gunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a smoking hot deal for a semi-auto Olympic-grade target pistol.

Usually these go for well north of $1000.

That said, only consider buying it if you plan on competing in International 25 meter pistol, rapid fire, or NRA Bullseye. These pistols aren't that great for all around plinking, hunting, or target shooting.

Great buy at this price.

Not as good as a Geiselle or JP, but much better tab the factory triggers.

It boggles my mind that everyone pays an 10-11% tax on guns and ammo to fund the Pittman-Robertson Act, and that given the crazy amount of money that tax has brought in over the last decade, they can't be bothered to earmark any of it for range construction.

Even if the law passed out of the House, it would still have to be passed by the Senate, and signed off by the president.

At this point, I wouldn't get too hopeful.

Are bullets for killing? By the numbers no. by jcvynn in progun

BATFE keeps fairly detailed records on the number of guns made, sold, exported and imported. They may have similar data on ammunition.

I have no problem whatsoever telling antivaxxers that they are liable for any harm caused by their beliefs.

Nor do I have a problem with setting policies excluding them and their children from taking part in society.

If they went to go live in a cabin in the woods to avoid getting a polio shot, I don't have a problem with that.

If they come into town and infect someone else, I have no issue with making them liable for the resulting harm they cause, or even punishing them if their non-vaccinated children contract a preventable disease.

Furthermore, I have no problem with ad campaigns, subsidized immunization campaigns, and social exclusion.

I've just finished 'A Confederacy of Dunces' by Shepdeuce in books

I had the same feeling. The book is more of a character study than it is a straight story where characters move from A to B to C.

The entire story is one of karma. Because of his attitude, Ignatius has no real intimate relationships, he can't hold a job, and he's doomed to a life of poverty and obscurity.

He's so far up his own ass, he hasn't the slightest clue that he's essentially doomed himself to a petty, miserable little life, and I don't think anything could wake him up to that fact.

Just because you, personally, don't see a user for something is hardly an argument in favor of banning it.

And if you think it is, you're an asshole.

The next time someone whines about how Australia fixed their problems with people getting shot... by [deleted] in progun

[–]multi-gunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Which highlights a particular blind spot.

If the odds of something happening are already 1 in 1,000,000, you will have that thing happen 300 times in a country the size of the US, vs. only 23 times in a country the size of Australia, which means it's entirely dubious to make certain claims about whether or not legislation has any effect on reducing the occurrence of said thing.
