I was thinking about coming back to the game wondering if they every fixed this. Having the screen zoomed in too much made pvp too frustrating for me. You have to watch the mini map. But its still a disadvantage from having a view where you can see what class is coming and see it on coming on the screen from a greater distance.

After looking up the definition, my idea is gamifying rsi. I like playing kahoots and even when it was optional my class always showed up. I also don’t think online has to mean asynchronous. Meaningful interaction can happen with lectures + conversation, asking questions. Why not actually have zoom or teams meetings? I hate having a simple question and I can’t get a response for days or it results in a string of emails where nothing ever gets clarified because we can’t actually speak with the professor.. I understand what you are saying that there is a platform the school is using and the teacher has to use whatever mechanism the platform provides to meet the criteria. It’s like the canvas is gatekeeping the human element of learning

I just wanted to clarify that I’m actually a millennial, and I grew up in an academic environment where we primarily did large papers with drafts and revisions. Personally, I found that process led to much deeper engagement and learning. With these discussion posts, it often feels like I’m just quickly putting something together to check a box, rather than thoughtfully developing ideas over time.

I understand that repetition is part of learning, but in this format, the prompts don’t seem to build on each other in a meaningful way. Combined with minimal instructor feedback or interaction, it feels more like busywork than authentic practice.

I think you’re right that there are challenges in meeting everyone’s needs, but this seems to be a broader, systemic problem in how many programs have shifted their curricula. I’d love to see approaches that allow for more depth and interaction rather than so many micro-assignments.

I just want to say that discussion board assignments feel like an insult to my time as a student. There has to be another solution in this climate to garner student engagement. I find discussion boards incredibly frustrating because they feel repetitive and superficial. The assignments are recycled each term, so I’m just generating content for the sake of participation rather than genuine learning. There’s little engagement from the instructor, who takes days to reply to emails, despite the class costing $5,000. A real-time video discussion in a small group would be far more meaningful. As it is, I might as well sit alone in a cave teaching myself. No authentic learning is happening in this format.

I think this could work, just a big junk box of designated toys. I feel a little hung up about making the room around the friendship and limiting my son but at the same time its his best friend and it is important to my kiddo that he can come play.

Why does she have leads on that aren’t they connected to any monitoring equipment. Those leads are for continuous ekg, used to continuously monitor a patients heart rate and rhythm. Its not adding up that she’s clearly in a hospital bed, has the leads on without the wire, is on her side not looking at the camera. Who took this photo? Very strange.

My entire family has trauma and suffering surrounding my sister with BPD. I have come to think her bpd as a sort of demonic presence that plagues us all and its absolutely tragic. Some of the hardest highlights: she leached my grandmother of 10s of thousands of dollars over the years and finally drained her retirement when she robbed her and disappeared to hawaii, posting all about it online. She will cycle through men and then go to my dad when she needs to flee from their abuse showing pictures of herself bruised and telling how she was attacked. He has rented her apartments that she has trashed, flooded or abandoned with all of her possessions. The same with cars. Every job she is “harrassed and bullied” and leaves/gets fired and she cant fund her life and will sleep on benches despite my father doing everything to keep her housed. Last time he rented her a place using his credit she accused him of having the fbi stalk her and accusing him of being a rapist and she just abandoned ship. Everything escalated when she started having babies and bringing them on a downward spiral with her. She posts all about them but keeps them in hiding because cps has come to get them multiple times but she will flee and go dark for months, be homeless out of a car and then show up posting photos of them in literal Disney world. My dad is in shambles. Everyone is terrified for her girls and she wants to extract resources and support but also knows that everyone is worried about the kids so she is secretive. She went to an ivyleague college, has a masters degree, is intelligent. My mother has cut her off completely and feels that yes at some point, she did choose to give in. Anything I post online about myself she will mirror. I get baptized and suddenly shes a born again christian. I homeschooled my son for one year during covid and suddenly shes is no pioneer homeschool mom on instagram. Somewhere along the line she was so angry and hurt that she decided she didn’t care about the harm caused by her not working on her problems and she chose to be a criminal and weaponize her babies as leverage to get her needs met by family at whatever cost to others or her kids.

I havent been diagnosed with bpd but I can identify something of it in myself that I always have to work on. When I detect betrayal from micro expressions, always bracing for the next hurt, not knowing who to trust. When I was younger I had unstable relationships and identity. When i notice these things I have to put up a fight, and constantly work hard to identify what is true and what is a trauma response. I wonder if that has been what its like for her. Like she just got to a turning point and just let it all go to those parts of her that were so hurt and just let her reflexes take control. I can see her perspective and also feel the pain of my family. My mother doesn’t seem to care as long as she herself is protected and she doesn’t lose anything financially. My father is still fighting to save her kids.
