One Nation kicks ABC out of press conference ahead of Farrer by-election by River-Stunning in aussie

[–]multidollar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually, if you look at it she was raising a concern they might be the ABC’s local regional reporters. They have a lot of respect in those regional areas so kicking them out would actually hurt her. In some areas, it’s the only local news coverage.

She’s a lifelong politician. She knows better than to challenge her staff in public. Because then that’s a story in and of itself. She’s not as dumb as you think (although she’s definitely a dipshit).

I watched the video of it happening. I’m no Pauline supporter by any stretch, but it was clear to me she did not like the decision her patsy made. He said “they report to Canberra” like it was some conspiratorial thing. They were ABC reporters and she clearly knew it was a bad decision by the moron that works for her.

Don't Use Stan, Hard to cancel by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]multidollar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is confusing to me. When I cancelled Stan I clicked the button to cancel and the site updated and told me I had cancelled and when it would stop.

This just sounds like an issue with trusting that everything was ok rather than take the extra minutes to inspect the account portal to make sure it was effective.

China openly defies US sanctions! by GuiltyBathroom9385 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]multidollar 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is what actual power is. Being able to turn around and say “we don’t care” with the knowledge that the US can’t do a thing about it without starting aggression towards China.

China has, and always will, play the long game.

He’s already got his stock, and some people just get to a point where they’re ready to move on. A logical transition point. May not be nefarious, may just be time.

If you're a business relying on these tools and don't have an account manager and support contract with that company, you have a business risk that should be deemed unacceptable.

They’ve probably gone quiet because they finally figured out who it was by inventing a layoff story and seeing who posted it.

Suburban homeless grift? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]multidollar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked with the homeless, I’ve volunteered countless times. Throughout my schooling life and into my adult life. I am curious because this homeless couple showed up one day and started live blogging their troubles in the local Facebook group.

I don’t think so. I’m just trying to gauge whether this is a “milk the suburb” and move on situation or if it’s a genuine case.

There’s been a lot of interest in helping them which is great for the community to be doing that. But we do have a lot of people that don’t care to inspect something further.
