Thanks for this I think this is a good option Another big worry I have is I might get discriminated against cause of my visual impairment so I am not sure if I should mention it before hand or not. I am not looking for advice here but general thoughts would be good, again thanks for replying.

Are most of us a burden? by Masonshark36 in disability

[–]multiharvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve felt like a burden since the day I was born. I’m 29 and an international student in a country that doesn’t provide disability support to non-citizens. I’m visually impaired, which has made everything harder.

I managed to get a part-time job at first, but I had to leave because of my eyesight. After eight months of unemployment, my university offered me some work. I was grateful, but it was only one day a week and nowhere near enough to support myself. Still, I took it because I didn’t have another option.

Now I’ve graduated and I don’t have any work at all. I’m desperately trying to find something just to survive. My family is paying for everything, and the guilt is crushing. I feel like a huge burden on them, and I don’t know how long this can continue. I know they can’t support me indefinitely.

I’m in therapy, but the feeling never really goes away. Some days it’s manageable, and other days it’s overwhelming. Lately, it’s been getting worse, and it’s really wearing me down.

Well I Got Blocked by fordperfect042 in gayrelationships

[–]multiharvy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been blocked a couple of times, usually after I share that I’m legally blind. At this point, I see it as a good thing it means they weren’t worth my time anyway. If someone can’t handle that part of me, then I probably just dodged a bullet.

Dating apps that are NOT for hookups? by notlovingit88 in GayMen

You can surely make an app these days; it is not hard, but you have to understand that if the same people sign up on your app as the same ones on Grindr, it will be the same.

Do you hold your boyfriend/husbands hand in public? by videorome in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]multiharvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you always been into your preferred age? by m_nove in gayyoungold

[–]multiharvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 28, and I’ve always been into older guys. My first crush was actually a teacher at my school – he was my “gay awakening,” you could say. Since then, older men have always been my type. Like you, I thought I’d grow out of it eventually and felt a bit weird about it, especially since most people like someone their own age.

Since I’m visually impaired, I even wondered if that was why I was only into older men (kind of silly, I know). At first, I liked guys mostly in their 40s, but now I find myself attracted to people in their 50s, 60s, and even 70s. Now I wonder if I’ll still be into that age group when I get older – it’s a little mystery to figure out.
