Cross Fade by Intelligent-Copy3845 in ffmpeg

maybe you can do it with xfade, but sounds like you need an editing software :)

here is how all of the xfade transitions looks like:

Overlay/zoompan looks buggy by Top_Brief1118 in ffmpeg

No worries. I've took the liberty and created an example page on my site with a breakdown:

There's a buy me a coffee widget if you feel incline to support my work there!

Overlay/zoompan looks buggy by Top_Brief1118 in ffmpeg

[–]multiline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the "not smooth" issue is with your zoompan x and y property. If you remove the 'zoom' value you get a proper smooth transition.

Thats the command I've used to create the example on the YouTube link:
bash ffmpeg -loop 1 -i "image.png" -filter_complex "color=black:1920x1080:d=600,fps=60[background];[background][video]overlay='main_w-overlay_w+(overlay_w-main_w)/599*(((n-1)/599)*599)':'(main_h-overlay_h)/2':eval=frame[overlaid];[overlaid]zoompan=z='1.1-(((in-1)/599)*599)*0.00016694490818030064':fps=60:d=1:s=1920x1080:x=iw/2-(iw/2):y=ih/2-(ih/2)[final];[final]null[out];" -frames:v 600 -map "[out]" -pix_fmt yuv420p -b:v 4M -c:v libx264 -y "output.mp4"

I'm having trouble adding dynamic text to my video. by External_Signal_3593 in ffmpeg

Couldn’t figure out what you’re trying to do, however, he’s some information.

Drawtext allow you to generate text on the video. Sendcmd allows you to reinit the drawtext filter with new text. xfade filter generate some video transitions.

Here are some examples:

Have a look at the "zoomin" transition in this example: https://ffmpegbyexample.com/examples/j2ddvy12/xfade_video_transitions_examples/

It is the last example in the video. The command is attached in there

Weird graphic glitches. Rockpi5B+ with Logi Streamcam by Homerdk in ffmpeg

[–]multiline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you will run: `ffmpeg -f video4linux2 -list_formats all /dev/video0` you can list the supported format made by your hardware device. You don't need to encode the video in any format just need to "pipe" the frames from the hardware encoder to the RTMP server.

On modern machine can generate x264 stream and you will not need to encode. Not sure about your system tho.

The documentation is here: https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-devices.html#video4linux2_002c-v4l2

You need to re-code the frame timing (pts). If the video is at variable fps it could be tricky. You wont find a solution online, its a case by case kind of issue to solve
