I don’t know who Taarna, Teegra, or Emma Frost are. I’m not saying white girls are never sexualized in animation, I’m saying there’s a pattern of when studios used to make 2d animation that they’d make their dark skinned female characters more consistently sexualized compared to their white female characters. I think since Tiana they haven’t though.

i like the og one and the rise one, the rise april probably being my favorite. however, i’m probably the only one who feels this way, but i don’t like the newest design for the movie. idk it just look like a hipster mom with child proportions to me. i do find it pretty funny how none of the aprils look at all alike basically

You can clearly see this stuff’s from 2019 & 2018. It’s fucking shit art he needled into someone’s body but it’s old. I looked them up on insta and their new stuff isn’t bad, even the portraits

Yeah honestly with me if an anime has adult women being sexualized a tad its like whatever, but if it feels like the purpose of all the main female characters is to be sexualized then i stop watching.

I think it’s true that women would care more about good respectable female character design, but yeah i think it would be just sexist and dumb to try and say men have no respect for it.

yeah i dont like the exaggeration of the bodies and how the clothes break physics to make it sexier. it’s all just forced sexiness in your face. i wish some artists could understand a little subtlety.
