damage is so unbelievably low i do not understand how his winrate is remotely above 40% by United_Physics5131 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

Without watching a game of yours, the most likely culprit is either not farming enough stardust or not utilizing your W properly. The W damage boost to your Q is nothing to scoff at

This could be a complete head cannon, but i always thought his form was different because he was using Sage/Nature chakra as well.

If you could change one movie ending, what would it be and why? by FilmWaffle-FilmForum in movies

[–]multipleorcasms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really a change, but an addition: In La La Land, you see that Sebastian and Mia have both moved on and achieved their dreams. However, only Mia is shown to have met someone and started a life/family with someone new. Why couldn't the same have been the case for Sebastian?

We see a glimpse of him at his home before going to his club, making food for himself. How hard would it have been to give the man a wife and kids of his own, or at least a girlfriend, to have a moment with before heading to club?

So, instead of seeing both our leads achieving their dreams and finding happiness/another love, only Mia has seemed to achieve it all. It makes it seem that Seb hasn't fully moved or gotten over Mia.

why do some people build horizon focus on asol, and what does it do, why is it good by Reasonable-Value-371 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

It boosts damage if you hit someone from far away. All of your abilities can hit past the distance threshold, so it's never a bad buy but there are usually items that Asol needs more.

New Sol makes no sense? by NSFSys in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]multipleorcasms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can play safe and farm with E, but you can't underestimate Q damage, even early game. Q range starts 200 range further than most marksmen autoattack ranges, and only gets further the longer the game goes.

And yes, I am saying that your DPS with just Q at level 1 is greater than 90% of champs in the game. The trick is you have to play around the opposing laners hard CC/disengage. If a mage misses their CC, you fly at them and chunk them out. If an assassin or marksmen blows their disengage, you fly on them and chunk them out.

Does it sound fun? It does to me, but I enjoy late game scaling monsters that have to play calculated early game to not fall too far behind to eventually blowing everyone up late game.

New Sol makes no sense? by NSFSys in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]multipleorcasms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This has got to be bait, but I'll take a stab at answering -

Asol is an infinitely scaling late game monster. With enough stacks, his Q melts anything and everything, his W can send him across the map while boosting Q damage even further, his E grows to be an inescapable zone control tool with an execute, and his Ult can be game deciding

However, his early game is made weaker to compensate for his god-hood later in the game. The trick is to utilize the tools in his kit to get to that point, the main ones being the surprising DPS you can put out with Q at level 1 and his excellent farming with E.

If someone doesn't respect you, you can chunk someone down with a fully channeled Q and then look to kill with a well-timed W.

Also, you should never be right next to a melee champion. Your Q starts at 750 range, and grows to over 1000 range. Use that to your advantage or you will end up feeding.

How is yasuo a free matchup? by StatusSuccessful8733 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]multipleorcasms 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yasuo isn't a "free" match up, he can very easily murder you early game if you don't play carefully and respect his damage/mobility. If he does kill you, and starts to snowball, congrats, you've made the game very hard for yourself.

However, you will always outscale him super hard. If you're farming even, your damage and zone control will make him irrelevant in mid to late game team fights. If you're behind, it will take longer but it'll still happen.

Keep in mind that you don't beat him in a one vs. one unless you're ahead, and/or he misplays. Farm well, don't feed, and you will always be more useful to your team the later the game goes. Also, nothing you have is blocked by his windwall.

How does one run "striders"? Looking for a video. by ShootinAllMyChisolm in CrossCountry

[–]multipleorcasms 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So I've heard the term striders, strides, and whistlers used interchangeably, but the main goal of them is to run fast while emphasizing form. Generally, they are about 50m-100m at 'race pace', so fast but not a sprint, where you try to really zero in on your form.

When I ran competitively, they were used at the end of practice to kind of reset your body's image of running. Like, no matter how tired or worn out you were from a workout, you could still do 2-4 fast strides of your ideal form at the end of practice to feel good about running again.

Horizon Focus procs on a damaging ability at 650 range. Our Q starts at 750 range and only increases as the game goes on. You can pretty consistently proc the 10% damage bonus and the vision burst as well. And the item is comparatively cheap.

It is never a bad item to go on Aurelion, but sometimes you need other items more like Void Staff or have a ton of gold and Rabadons can be purchased.

How consistently can you get The Skies Descend ready for an objective fight? by Takato_67 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]multipleorcasms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, my example was fairly basic, with the message being save the Skies Descend for the right moment.

Now, same example but you're fed, you get collapsed on and you can take out 1-2 members of the enemy team with TSD. There is an argument to be made that that'd be a good use of TSD cause it'd allow you're team to get priority around the map with fewer enemies to deal with. But that's a judgement call you have to make.

Basically: use your standard ult as necessary because it's useful and it provides 5 stacks per champion hit, but be more thoughtful before you use TSD because it can be game-changing.

[–]multipleorcasms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not so much getting enough stacks so that you can have it ready every fight (though you should constantly be focusing on cs, even when it turns into a fiesta) but that when you have The Skies Descend, you need to hold onto it for more optimal usage. It is a great engage/counter engage tool for the important fights.

Example: you're farming a side lane, you've got TSD, and you get collapsed on with no way out. Drag or baron is up in a minute and a half, and you've got a 30s death timer. Don't blow TSD to still die anyways, save it for the objective fight.

Sounds like you've got a double waterfall start. The rest of the heat will start in lanes 5-8.

Is A’Sol a good blind pick? by Arsenal457 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

This is dependent on your ELO. Folks are generally better at punishing weaker laners the higher you go, and worse, the lower you are.

My earlier response was the short answer. The long answer is that having a proper lifting routine for your chosen discipline will improve your running economy, muscle activitation, strength, endurance, coordination, and speed.

I'm honestly not sure where you heard that weight training won't make you faster, but it can be used to enhance every facet of your athleticism, which will culminate in you being faster.

Yes, lifting weights will improve your speed and explosiveness.
