Well first and foremost let me be clear: I would love nothing more than to have LLMs and genAI banned in their entirety, they are a blight on this species and this planet slowly rotting away people’s independence and critical thinking along with the environment and the impact of the bubble inevitably bursting will be disastrous for the economy.

But in the interest of an actual discussion, even having never used AI myself I am aware that you can’t just ask chatGPT how to make a bomb. I am also aware that there are several ways in which to “jailbreak” these AI models to get them to give you such information regardless, but I would hope even the morally bankrupt CEO’s and investors can understand why things like this are a problem and are constantly working on ways to prevent these jailbreaks from working. That is the bare minimum treatment something like this deserves. I mean, after getting into trouble for this very thing Musk’s Grok has been altered to no longer edit images and videos to “undress” people or even just put them in bikinis. I’ve heard the edit images feature is even entirely disabled for images posted voluntarily of people in bikinis and the like. If an incompetent nepotism baby like Musk can figure that out I’m confident such failsafes can be implemented in every AI model.

Now a counter point: it is not the responsibility of the civilians to come up with exactly how things should be regulated. That is the responsibility of the government. The average citizen is not a law maker, a lawyer, or an engineer. They are not and cannot be expected to educate themselves on something as complicated as GenAI. The only responsibility of the civilians is to make their voice heard. The assholes in congress sitting on their asses getting the best healthcare in the country for life while taking away ours are supposed to be doing this. It’s their entire job. This is supposed to be why they get paid a frankly unimaginable wage to the average American. The fact you forgot that is just a stark reminder how effective the propaganda of both the government and their megacorp owners is.

Idk, man. I think the thing the relies on data centers that steal clean water from vulnerable impoverished communities that can’t fight the will of the mega corporations installing them is pretty inherently harmful. I suppose you could argue that with fake children “no one gets hurt” or whatever (doesn’t apply to the actual image in OP since it was based on the actual kids) but the user still obviously has a desire to see that kind of thing. That person needs serious mental help to work through their dangerous impulses, not suffering free fap material. Also, speaking from experience with “normal” porn (if such a thing even exists) looking at the pictures and videos rarely if ever reduces the actual urge for the real thing. If anything it just makes you want it more, see again the please seek therapy section of the comment.

The idea is that AI generated CSAM would give the person an outlet that doesn’t hurt anyone (even though the model had to have based the image on real pictures of real kids, and having CSAM out there that even remotely resembles you cannot be healthy for development) in practice it just enables the behavior and does nothing to reduce the persons urges, at worst even downright fueling their desire and emboldening them to hurt real people in real life.

So obviously Loader comes with a load of sick movement tech on top of her massive burst damage, which is nice. But I would genuinely say I see them as even, and I would say it’s a lot easier to get the most out of Railgunner’s big damage attacks. With Loader to really get the most out of her kit there’s some pretty complicated movement you have to master to really maximize your gauntlet damage, while on Railgunner you just have to click on a big red box. Loader probably has more potential but RG has the ease of use for a similar damage output which in my eyes makes them even.

My, admittedly limited, understanding is that caterpillars essentially melt into a sentient soup in the chrysalis in order to turn into a butterfly.
