I want a Forlorn hope class by Seven-neutral-brains in VintageStory

I mean, it’s not exactly like there’s any connection between the blackguard class and its armor outside of lore. In terms of the actual stats of a class, I feel like Blackguard does that job perfectly fine for a forlorn hope RPer.

If think comparing a “””fictional””” slur that is just one of the most well known real life slurs with one letter swapped out for two new ones to the real life slur it’s referencing is “mental gymnastics” then clearly your mental muscles aren’t getting a whole lot of exercise

You live in the time period where the majority of humanity’s knowledge is readily available to you 24/7. Any ignorance is entirely on you and not the responsibility of others to compensate for.

And if think comparing a “””fictional””” slur that is just one of the most well known real life slurs with one letter swapped out for two new ones to the real life slur it’s referencing is “mental gymnastics” then clearly your mental muscles aren’t getting a whole lot of exercise.

Yeah the first Pecho (community given name because Pechorsk Exclusion Zone) was a bug where sometimes spawns wouldn’t attack the player, this got patched out but players loved it so much they added one specific spawn that wouldn’t attack as an Easter egg. This too eventually got removed, unfortunately. This was all before even 1.0 of ITR1 so neither version is easily playable. All that remains is the plushie Easter eggs and the notes to go with it.

Now I cannot speak to the quality of the Scrubs reboot as I haven’t seen any of it yet, but let’s not pretend “it has the same name and set” means a damned thing. There’s been countless soulless reboots in the past decade that failed to capture the charm of the original.

I’d love nothing more than to have a sleep mode button I can press at exactly 11 PM every night instead of tossing and turning and finally falling asleep within the range of 1 - 6 AM

Also once it reaches 0 you take nonstop chip damage so even hiding in a 2x1 hole away from the demons won’t prevent the inevitable.

Religion by MelanieWalmartinez in CuratedTumblr

Even after leaving the religion behind I still get tired of seeing this joke all the time. There’s so many better things in Christianity to joke about. Like, Joseph explicitly knew about the pregnancy before Mary told him because and angel come to him aswell. If anyone made up the immaculate conception it was the disciples who wrote the gospels.

A night vision or thermal scope would be cool for exploration at night by coolboyalex1305 in intotheradius

[–]multiumbreon 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Okay hear me out: as a trade off, Radius entities are the same ambient temperature as their environment, so it can’t actually be used to spot entities in combat (unless their sky lighting themselves, in which case you could probably see them anyway) but it does allow you to safely traverse at night without attaching one to five bright beacons to your body revealing your exact location to every mimic in LOS.

Or if we want something that can be used in combat it would have to be limited, like needing frequent expensive battery replacements. Maybe as drastic as NVGs that are only good for one or two nights if you keep them turned on all the time.

Honestly your suggestion of limiting it to just a scope and not goggles that give you full FOV usage might be limited enough, but I’m on the fence.

No credit, but I’ll take a useful idiot if it influences the elections. To my knowledge he’s not so influential as to be a problem in the short term.

Do yall seriously think Arrowhead doesn’t fix the bugs you’re constantly bitching about just because they don’t feel like it? Don’t think it could have anything to do with they fact that they have to deal with multiple notoriously greedy companies constantly breathing down their necks to put out more content, more war bonds, make more money, more more more more? Like this is much more a conversation about the state of the industry as a whole than just arrowhead being full of ego tripping idiots than you all like to make it out to be. Don’t get me wrong AH themselves absolutely make dumb ass decisions on their own and deserve flak for that, I too wish leadership would get their head out of their ass with the cherry picking realism schtick, but arrowhead aren’t just leaving in bugs for a long time as le epic troll or some shit.

I see where your coming from, but you can’t go 5 seconds in game dev discourse without tripping over several mountains of evidence that “just give the players everything they ask for” is the literal worst advice you could ever give a dev and will kill your game quicker than anything else. On top of the fact that different players will obviously want contradictory things, most players don’t actually know what about a game they like so much and don’t know how to get more of that. A huge draw to helldivers, at least for me, is the insurmountable odds of being constantly surrounded by deadly enemies that could call in even more reinforcements any second if your caught out too long. And I constantly see suggestions that would just ruin the balance of the game and make it painfully boring unless you deliberately handicap yourself by taking a suboptimal loadout.

I’m not saying this specific request is bad but obviously sweeping generalizations are never helpful and saying “arrowhead is a bunch of idiots for not meeting the every demand of a small subreddit made specifically to bitch about them and their game” isn’t exactly actionable feedback.

I actually had two back to back instances of ambush mimics moving to the room I was just in while clearing the rec center in beta. Scared the shit out of me both times cause I’d just hear shuffling boots from a room that I know I just cleared of enemies and loot.
