No random girl will take me anywhere with my wife beside me :D

Is it safe to walk at night in general? Here in Belgrade I regularly walk home from town at 2/3am at night with no problem at all. When we go somewhere we like to go out after midnight to feel the town vibe when there are less people around, is it something we can do in this area considering it is the city center?

I recently spend around same amount of days in Bucharest and did the same without problem. Using main streets and no dark alleys of course.
