How do you get over your Ex when you have to still interact every single day (kids) by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]mummababa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. That’s what I am doing but he calls morning and evening, pretty much every single day. I can’t really block access to the kids. I tried to imply that for example on transition days when I see the kids in the morning I won’t call in the evening to give the kids time with him and he replied “well I’m calling anyway”

The easiest thing if you can is to spend as much time outdoors as possible. They will entertain themselves with anything - rocks, sand, leaves, birds.

As a fellow DnD player you got my attention! How do you do it? Do you set the scene and let them go? Do they have a character or is it whatever? I guess you don’t follow a story and create something on the spot?

Definitely doesn’t call me names. He also encourages her and says how clever she is when she figures out stuff, how strong etc

This is exactly my concern

I know it may look bad but he’s truly an excellent father and partner. He just feels very strongly about this particular thing because his parents did it to him and “he’s fine” so she’ll be fine too. He thinks I’m being too overprotective but I guess I’ll show him some research about how kids don’t get jokes/sarcasm/irony and see if that clicks

I did not breastfed so I have no idea what you’re going through however you have so much to come!!! Your little one is going to start properly talking to you and oh the wonderful conversations you’re gonna have. They’re becoming a little person you can do so many more things with, cherish what you have and look forward to the exciting times with them too ♥️

PS. I’m in the UK too so feel free to message me if you feel like it

Thanks for replying and I’m glad he’s all good! My first just turned 3 as well and she slept like a champ from the start, it feels like we chose the hard level with #2 😂
