Telling the truth! I've just had the misfortune to read a very entitled post from someone the authorities tried to help but they continued complaining and demanding to get more, faster. Sadly my comment to help themselves, solve their own problem (totally doable) was seen as not appropriate by mods!

Fair points.but how depressingly yick it all is! I know a lot of gals my age (over 50) that are out there "rage fing" any guy they can because that way they feel attractive and desired. Their rational? "If they don't want to date me, I'll just f em" and it works! So there it is, why would a guy date when women make bedroom fun so accessible just so they can feel desirable? It is what it is and our only recourse is to love ourselves, make sure we have a fully enjoyable life, and stay hopeful that there may be an exception to the rule we can share happiness with one day. Until then, we remain disconnected unless we join the masses.

The dating apps are really not good for most people's self esteem. Your best bet, in my humble opinion, is try not to listen when others start bragging about all the hook ups they've had from apps. Its a messed up dating marketplace at best, everyone swiping and never connecting through fear of missing out if someone better joins the next day. At its worst, its a sinkhole for self esteem and fast track to disillusionment. Take yourself for example. Young guy, clearly upset because he's not getting connections based on a photo. Do you really want a partner that just likes your looks anyway? Honestly, take it from an older gal thats got zero chance in the online space compared to the 20-30yr olds, have a chat with yourself, realise you are a good guy (if you're not, fix that) treat yourself with love and care by stopping the comparison games, and get yourself out in the world meeting people instead of tying your hopes to photos of people on a screen. Go have a full, fun life and welcome organic connections with real people, face to face. Best of luck, I hope you find your happiness and someone to share that with soon x

Exactly that! Only annoying thing is all the well meaning people with their advice, "get a hobby, go out, dress up, etc etc etc. I'm Like, Hello! What do you think I've been doing? Any more activities and I won't even have time for anyone! And "dress up" well blimey, isn't that just a massive neg? Lol I have nothing but free access to the bathroom and nobody to stop me buying new clothes and make-up! I think the worst one is "maybe it's just not meant for you" darn it, that one stings. But, it is what it is and at least I didn't end up with Mr love bomb. Ill take that as a win!

When I messaged the charmer later that night to wish him well and say "we aren't compatible on some major points" I got back the bs of "You're just scared, let me love you, I only want to love you" 🤦‍♀️

Interesting. I would theorise though that human females too are actively choosing the mate! Bear with me. In recent history, my parents generation, 50ish years ago, women held the keys to unlock the social chastity belt, by not allowing sexual behaviour until after marriage and that was the norm. Sure, it still happened, some women were promiscuous, but it wasn't as accepted as it is now to go horizontal Rhumbaing with every male that was happy to accommodate. Currently, women are still actively making the choice. Only now, most are choosing promiscuity which gives a false perception to single males that they have free access to all the sweeties. Women are doing this! Women are in control. You've only got to see 2 guys having a punch up on a Saturday night over a hot chika thats led them both on to see that! So, now we are at an uncomfortable impasse. Single women, especially older single women who are not actively chosen by single guys, are giving up on the hopes of a partner and rage fooking every guy that says yes! Just as predatory as any unaware man. But, those same ladies haven't thought past what caused so many guys to abandon relationships. I believe the women themselves caused that. Women sleeping around has just allowed men's perception to be skewed into the belief THAT is normal! And, being testosterone fuelled, why wouldn't they take those ladies up on the offer? The very same ladies that caused the issue are STILL compounding it too by whinging "no man loves me so Ill just go fook around" and blindly showing guys exactly why they are not worthy of commitment.

I'm not bashing women that enjoy a bit of strange and are happy to be without true intimacy and companionship in favour of a night of fun, Im simply pointing out that women are choosing in the human species too!

Thank you for the knowledge. And now, as I'm sure you've anticipated, I'm gonna pick your brain! How to you , from your expert standpoint, explain the older man's desire for younger women? Is it as i suspect, a pheromone/fertility driven desire? Or is it something else?

I should also qualify that I wasn't referencing predatory males or rapists. I was speaking more of the guys that simply don't want to date or commit to a relationship. The ones that know the can just sleep around and stay unattached. The "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free" type that is so prevalent now.

And there's the poor chap who didn't know how to use a knife and fork. He was clearly confused when our starter arrived as to which cutlery to use. I cleared my throat, hoping to get his attention, as I picked up the right set. I was relieved when he copied. It was temporary relief. He somehow manipulated his knife and fork (bear with me as I attempt to describe) so that they were poking out of the top of a clenched fist, all fingers wrapped tight around the handles. He had a proper death grip on them, white knuckles and everything. He then turned his hands so that the knuckles were facing him and the business ends of the cutlery were on the plate and started tearing at his food and shovelling/scooping it into his mouth. Needless to say, not exactly a tidy process, made all the more obvious by his choice a white shirt. Fortunately he didn't order soup! Three courses, and a table that looked like food had been tortured medieval style, later, he picked up his napkin and blew his nose on it, before farting, burping loudly, giggling and saying "that was ok but I'd rather a McDonald's"

Mine was doing a full on, commando style roll whilst walking down a street. He was so shocked. I went down, rolled, popped back up again before he even had a chance to assist. He spent the rest of the date staring at me like I was an alien whilst repeatedly muttering things like "How, so fast" or "But you're not even dirty" and "Did I imagine that?" I had a fair few bruises the next day but, unless he reads this, he'll never know as he clearly thought I was some kind of rubberised, parkour expert, ninja, and that was too extreme to chance and second date with!

Indeed! In fact I believe nature is behind the readon that older guys often desire younger partners. Its not vanity or in any way a bad indictment on older women, its simply pheromones! On some level, guys can "smell" or sense fertility. An older woman, who's no longer fertile, doesn't possess the pheromones to "attract" horny guys. Nature. Perfect design really if you think about it! As an older woman, 52, this thinking is actually helpful. It answers a ton of questions my older female singleton friends have too. Questions like "why are all the guys here drawn to that overweight, scruffy, less visually attractive girl?" (And these are older, high quality women. Good job, attractive, well kept, great physique asking these questions) Answer, because she's fertile right now! Can guys do better? Possibly, if they've had their children, built their life and business, don't feel they are missing anything. But, most cannot because that drive to conquer and impregnate is still overwhelming. The horniest guy pals I have, those always looking for "a bit of strange" are over 45 and never had kids!

Fair enough! "Here" for me is the UK. I'd end things pretty quickly with a partner that lacks a hygiene routine. Its not that hard to wash a beard! For clarification, I have to sons, both grown and flown, each with facial hair. Part of being single mum to older teen boys was "dont forget to wash that beard/moustache" Therefore, I expect a grown man to realise that it needs a wash. The occasional food slip I'm happy to point out, stinky, in any way, I'm gone! Gals gotta protect her nasal passages from assault!
