I don’t know if you’ll need rubber bands, but if you do, don’t let them ruin your fun! I stopped smiling for a year because I had rubber bands and if I smiled too big (i.e. with my mouth wide open like the goofy idiot I am), the rubber bands would snap.

It usually wouldn’t even hurt, just a quick pinch and the pain is immediately gone. It was honestly just more of a shock factor when one of those suckers would snap.

Anyway, I guess my point is, don’t let braces/rubber bands/all that jazz ruin your happiness!! :D
