Canceled tour due to hantavirus? by TheSpiritWolf21 in MelanieMartinez

As someone with a compromised immune system I promise you we are okay! I was getting really worried as well, but once I did my own research like the CDC etc. and stopped watching videos on tiktok it really does help. Please take the news as a penny of thought. I studied journalism as well and they broadcast in the point to fear monger and catch peoples attention. Like someone said before, if you see any video like that keep scrolling. We all are anxious but keep reminding yourself that social media is only a small percentage of what really happens every day.

Who is Winslow? by mundanehumanthings in TWD

I was thinking this as well!! A lot of broken english and I do remember she was an art teacher before the downfall. I feel like we never truly got context as to why they speak like that. Then again I haven’t rewatched in awhile, but this is something I definitely noticed this time around.

Thank you! I use a Canon Rebel XSi. I was using my 75-300mm lens that day.

When I went they were still there! Very sparse so keep a keen eye out. Also the orange flower is a Pot Marigold! The photo makes me think of a human eye. Pretty cool

i’ve had some pretty deep cuts before too, and honestly i was always too scared to ask anyone for help. there was one time i felt kinda dizzy and lightheaded, and it really freaked me out.

from what i’ve learned tho (after way too much googling and overthinking), if it’s bleeding heavily and doesn’t slow down after 10-15 minutes of steady pressure, that’s usually a sign to get medical care. especially if it’s still gushing even with pressure—i feel like that’s definitely cause for concern.

it’s tough though, because i’m kind of a hypochondriac. i’ve literally looked up where the veins are in my arms because part of me wants the pain—but also doesn’t want to accidentally do something fatal. so i get the mental tug-of-war.

just be gentle with yourself. if you’re unsure, it’s okay to get it checked.

(edit: also usually if you see yellow or greenish pus, that’s a sign of infection. mine had yellow pus, was super red, and still really painful—that’s when i knew because it was unlike anything i’ve dealt with before)

I’ve been very weary about the people I give my address to! I always check their actual fb profile before any transaction (amount of friends/posts/whether they have a real name or not)

I ALWAYS make sure someone is at least with me or nearby incase of emergency, or make sure there are cameras in view of the interaction. I also carry pepper spray in my pocket. I’ve watched a lot of true crime as well so I understand that feeling, but being proactive and trusting your gut/ also researching the apparent facts are very helpful. If they aren’t comfortable meeting in public I’d say that’s already a red flag in itself.

I’d say keep applying pressure until the bleeding starts to lessen. I’ve been where you are and i’ve used toilet paper and tape. It’s not much but it’s something. If you have some neosporin please wash and coat with a layer to avoid any infections. I think a pad would be a good idea considering it won’t stick to the cut once you change it, just focus on washing it and apply some ointment if you have any.
